Received an email last night that they were having delays with the laser cutting. But they will be able to weld up about 3 sets per day, and they go straight to powder coating which they say takes 4 to 6 days..

Also, I'm now #5 in line. Not #8 anymore. (Perhaps they already shipped 3 sets?).

 

How do you check your lead time and where you are in the Cue?

So let's unpack this latest scrap of info shall we.

As of Wednesday March 20th there are delays with the laser cutting but they will be able to weld up about 3 sets per day. I'm translating "about 3" to actually mean two complete sets per day.

Assuming only M-F and no additional issues, that would mean that 4 sets are likely ready for powder coating... give a couple days to transport... six business days to coat... a few more days for RRW to pick them back up and then notify someone on the list that their set is ready.

Add one more week for shipping and those four sets from last week should be delivered by the third week of April?

Meaning it's another three plus weeks for the the first four on the list... and no word yet from @Taco_Outcast who in theory should have received a set before @dunkshaw

Also, I agree that your change in place from #8 to #5 would indicate that three sets have been completed... but DAMN... they started building those three sets in the beginning of February (Post 609)... clearly they've been running into other issues.

*Not going to update the running list with new "place in line" numbers as we have too little communication to keep that straight. But please share any updates so we can track the progress.

 

If you've placed an order.... at the very least you should have a confirmation email with your order number. Feel free to share your order number and order date and I'll add it to the running list. The lead time is what we've been curating on our own as the information from the vendor has been scarce and inaccurate at best.

 

From when @dunkshaw order his in October, to when he got them delivered, it was about 5 months. So if my order was placed back in November, then your calculations are correct, I should get them sometime in April.... maybe...

 

Im hoping mine come before April 12th... the Taco is going in for lift and wheels and I want to have them put those on too!!!!! fingers crossed..

Everyone feel free to post your order info and I'll add it to the growing list... it will help establish a better timeline for others thinking about ordering.

*Post #685 Setogo received an email that his place in line moved from #8 to #5... no one else has received an updated "place in line" so the original numbers will stay for now. Any orders after mid March would likely have different "place in line" number and skew the list.

 

I received an email last night from them saying they are shooting to have mine to me by the 15th of April.. Of course I asked for the 12th because the Taco Negro goes into the shop for the lift, wheels and tires on the 15th.. They told me they would try really hard to get them to me the 12th.. So I guess thats good news!

 

I guess those are good news for me too?? lol

 

Lets hope so!! Fingers crossed they are catching up on production!

Maybe they got the laser cutter sorted out?

The original manufacturer is back to helping out?

They brought in a new manufacturer?

Or some combination of the three... Either way, sounds like production might be ramping up.

Funny thing is, I still haven't received an email update from them... Nothing.

 

@Taco_Outcast have you received your sliders at all??

 

I emailed them 2 days ago with no response yet..

 

Nope, have not gotten so much as an email update yet, aside from the "will ship soon" notification that was quite awhile ago already.

 

Took me like a week and a half or so to get a real response
