Hopefully this is good news. I was looking at other options, but I’m willing to wait another week to see if this pans out.

I sent them a email yesterday stating that due to quality I had seen photos of and the wait that I'd like to cancel my order. they sent this big email blast out today it seems. in addition to that I recieved the following response to my email

"My name is Michael, I'm the new head of customer service here. The people we were using for the previous batches started to give us poor quality and slow wait times, so we are moving all production in house, which is the reason it is taking a little longer than expected. Your sliders are going to be heading to the powder-coaters within the next two or three days, and should be ready this week. We'll ship it out to you asap if you're willing to give us another week or so. It took a little longer than expected to set up our in-house production, but it's up and we're pushing out 5 sets of sliders per day.

I'll be updating everyone that got sliders with this info, but if you still want to cancel your order, let me know and I'll forward this to the appropriate people.

Again, sorry for the lack of communication, that issue has been fixed now. With our in-house production, we can make sure it's all welded correctly and up to our standards.

If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to help you out.

    Cheers,
    Michael"

I ordered on 9/7/18 and they arrived 10/13/18. Mine had gussets, hardware and welds looked good, but powder coat was not great. Had to touch up a few areas.

On mine anyway, the welds are pretty clean, but there were a few spots on the underside where the finish of the powdercoat just didn't cover. I painted over those, and they seem to have held up pretty well. I probably should check again.

My take away was that these were rushed to market before they worked out the manufacturing details, but in terms of the actual product, I like the design a lot, and the quality is good. I did drill and add 2 bolts per side to the frame for my own piece of mind, and tested by jacking with minimal deflection.

    LED everything, more to come
This came in yesterday via email.
Hey there, Michael from RRW here.

This email is to give you a little heads up on what's going on with your rock slider order. We originally intended on using a fabrication source that we found when we got overwhelmed with orders initially, but after seeing their work, we decided we couldn't send out the twenty sliders they initially made for us. The quality of the work wasn't to our standards, and we don't believe in sending out sub-par products.

Shortly after reviewing our options, we decided to scrap all twenty sliders, and start from scratch with an in-house fabrication team, who we could closely keep an eye on, and make sure they were working to the quality standard we believed in. Unfortunately the initial setup and acquisition of the talented welding crew took a little longer than expected, so your order hasn't been able to be pushed out by the initial wait period we quoted you.

Fortunately, we've got everything running smoothly now, and we've been pushing out 5 sliders per day. We've got the first batch on the trucks heading to the powder-coat center, so the orders are going to begin rolling out this week in order of purchase date.

We truly hope that this hasn't caused too much inconvenience, but we couldn't ship you a sub-par product just to save time and effort. We stand behind our products, and we've taken every step to ensure the product you purchased will be the last slider you'll ever need for your taco.

As the orders start to roll out, you'll receive a confirmation email with shipping details attached. Sand blasting & powder-coating takes about 3-4 days per batch of 20, so it will be steadily shipping out beginning this week. Again, I apologize for the delay, but rest assured they're on their way to you very soon.

    Cheers,
    Michael R.

For what it is worth... I ordered mine on November 21 through their eBay listing and just got a shipping notification today. That is 20 weeks but at least they are on their way now.

    Hello Everyone,

I'm terribly sorry for the lack of communication. I've been helping out with our production side to get it set up and running smoothly as we made this transition to do the sliders in house. We had to overcome some unforeseen obstacles while we were transitioning but we are now fully functional.

Also, I would like to address the picture that Michael sent you with the terrible welds. Finding a reliable and consistent welder in a short amount of time was one of the obstacles we had to overcome. Just wanted to let you guys know that, that welder was 100% fired. Luckily we found some experienced / licensed welders to take on the task.

We're able to reach our goal of welding about 4-5 sets a day, so we're working hard to fulfill those orders ASAP. Since we have Michael on board with us (head of the customer service), he will be working with me to send you guys updates on your orders.

RRW & my self are sincerely sorry for the huge delays and we appreciate those who decided to ride through this with us. We will send our merch to those who have gone through this milestone with us. We plan on stocking rock sliders after we fulfill all the orders. We definitely learned a lot about metal production through out this first few projects. We will continue to work hard to improve our production to unveil all the new projects we have in the queue.

    ---------

Update: I just dropped another batch to get sand blasted / powder coating. Also the last batch just got sandblasted and is going into powder coat. Michael & I will be updating you guys on every step that we take to show you guys the process of fulfilling these orders.

I will be emailing everyone new numbers on the Queue & Michael will start updating the order # that went out.

New batch that went in today!

Considering the last pic was sand blasted they either forgot or they will use a plastic end cap? My vote is they forgot considering it's not a time in the game to change the design...

Plastic end cap would seem insufficient for Offroad use. Definitely think a cap would have been welded on before they sand blasted the entire set of sliders

Ray are these now having plastic caps or welded? Truth be told those welds do not look very good either.

We're going to use plastic end caps to seal the ends. We use a plastic mallet to hammer the end caps in so they fit pretty nice and snug.

Each slider is taking about 30-40 mins to weld. The end caps will increase production time immensely because we would have to weld and grind the welds to smooth the edges out. It's more work than we initially thought but after moving production in house we finally understand the capacity it takes to manufacture these rock sliders.
