Why do some have the supports and some don't?

They do, glad we could get some good photos, and glad I could show how much light and shadow and paint can affect the look of a weld.

 

Definitely. Good to see the welds look nice. Very nice set of sliders. The plastic end caps are still super cheesy though. That’s the only thing I’d change. Don’t know any other brand on the market that uses those. All it takes is to go through one rock garden and hit the plastic cap and crack it, not notice it, and now that main tube starts filling with gunk and rusting from the inside out.

 

After asking these questions and not receiving a satisfactory answer I have sent an email requesting refund of my purchase price. I personally do not feel plastic caps are suitable for sliders as they "slide". That cap will not last five seconds if you actually off road and hit something stronger then a branch. I also don't feel the welding that was shown with drips, pooling and crap lines with hot spots(research coloring from welds) was not suitable for professional work. I learned welding 40 years ago in shop class and for this price point that is unacceptable.
I understand this is a new company but business is business. I have no reason to back a company that is taking shortcuts with my money. I would rather spend a few hundred more dollars. Same reason I want a suspension lift vs a spacer body lift.

Cancelled my order, got refunded

 

I have heard back from Michael. I listed my concerns and am awaiting refund.

 

Im pretty worried about water some how getting inside from the plastic caps. Im mean even if I don’t crack em just normal wear and tear even our Texas summers will do a number on them . I would be willing to wait to get a quality product vs getting these , having to get someone aka bro inlaw to weld caps , then havin yo got get them recoated for extra $

 

On Apr 5th as I posted the lastest timeline/order list, I did the same thing. I contacted them to cancel my order for a full refund.

I listed all of the issues and quality concerns, and how what I ordered months ago is not what is being built now... and this was before the plastic caps and welding splatter information came out. I mentioned that I was promised delivery in December 2018 specifically by Ray here on TW though PMs and how it's been almost 19 weeks now since the product was first ordered and I've heard nothing since that conversation.

RayRRW essentially ghosted me and then later this thread on February 1st when he stopped posting updates. He was still active on TW though, selling Wheels and Seat Covers.

Back to April 5th after I canceled my order and I see here in this thread that others had done the same or were contemplating it as well. It must have been enough to get their attention as we all got the same massive email update on the 8th. A couple days later and RayRRW found his way back to the thread as well. He had been missing from Feb 1 - Apr 10 even though there were pages and pages of questions and comments about the lack of communication.

Anyone want to guess if they canceled my order and refunded my money?

Nope. Nothing. Not one reply. They have my email address, mobile number, user ID here on TW... and I got NOTHING.

@RayRRW Cancel my order and issue a full refund.

I've waited over a week now since cancelling the order privately so now I'm posting it here since I know your following the thread again. I've been extremely patient but it's time for you to make this right.

 

JEM1BLK2019, can you confirm that you have the welded supports on the back and how the fitment is once installed?

 

Yes. I will post pics when I get back from vacation. The truck is at the shop getting the lift installed. They are also installing the sliders for me. It should be done on the 22nd

 

I just received the shipment confirmation saying that they are on the way. I will also try to post some close up pics and an honest review on these as soon as I get them.

 

Also got a notification that my shipment is on the way. As of this morning, Pilot freight tracking showed not picked up yet, but an estimated delivery on the 24th.

Got an Email 4/15 stating I was 3rd in line for long bed sliders and to expect delivery/Notification first week in may..

 

Got an email yesterday saying my order was on the way.
