You need to contact @RayRRW and/or the customer service guy Michael so they're aware of it. Posting here is
Damn... that makes 8 of 17 from the last wait list.

@JP_Rain - sliders make contact with cab, incomplete welds with holes, insta-rust
@JonesMGMOR - sliders make contact with cab
@dunkshaw - sliders make contact with cab (was able to adjust with force)
@Lonelyshadow - sliders make contact with cab, incomplete welds with holes, insta-rust & step plate welded on upside down
@vegangunguy - sliders make contact with cab (was able to adjust with bracket placement)
    @Longv - incomplete welds with holes, insta-rust
@IzzyTacoG3 - sliders make contact with cab
@FishnTx - sliders make contact with cab

If there's more than one welding jig, perhaps one of them is off?

Hopefully they get this straightened out for everyone.

    Thanks for tracking everything.

Ray offered to swap out for a new set but I opted for a refund, instead.

Currently trying to establish shipping quotes so I can get these out but it is slow going. Hoping to have them out by the end of the week.

Unfortunately, yes. When I asked I was informed that shipping would not be covered.

Pilot quoted me at $120-$180 depending on if I can figure out packaging for them. UPS got back to me with $280, so that’s a hard no.

I agree. And to clarify I would have had to pay shipping for the exchange as well.

I’m not quite sure how I get stuck with the shipping. I didn’t wait this out for 6+ months to happily return them but at this point with what I know this is the safest option. Not to mention they damaged my truck, regardless of how much or little.

    Bunch of stuff
Stuff happens and all vendors make mistakes and have mishaps but what sets apart the good ones from the bad ones is how they handle the situations that arise. After the product they supplied has damaged your truck and not worked properly how they were intended to, they should be paying for the shipping back

100%. I would file a dispute with my card company before I shipped back an item on my dime that did not fulfill what was promised. If you had just changed your mind that is one thing, but this is a total show. Not only was it a subpar product quality wise, it is damaging vehicles.

wait what? Well that made up my mind.... I really wanted to buy from them because they are local to me but I can’t support a vendor that can’t stand behind their products.

The Pilot guy seemed pretty bewildered that I was coordinating and paying for the return, as well.

I guess Pilot was at least able to use their company discount code for me.

disputing it with the card company is an interesting idea.
yea, I don't blame them, or anyone for that matter. I get the return is costly, but they gave you a product that is literally meant to protect that exact spot on your truck, and instead is rubbing on it during normal driving. I can't imagine using the slider for its purpose... They definitely should be covering the cost of the return.

I'm honestly glad I ran for the hills when I did. Can't believe that RRW is putting everyone through the ringer like this. They will never have my business again.

I still can’t believe they expect you to pay return shipping due to their fuckup. I was eyeing a set of wheels and sliders even after all the reported defects since I figured they would learn and improve but I can’t look past the poor customer service.

    JP_Rain,

Brought this up to the CEO and he is sorry for the inconvenience. He ordered me to send you a return label to return your rock sliders. Definitely agree with you guys that we should be held accountable for the issues that we caused. I will definitely be in contact with those who are having issues fix this whole ordeal. Deeply sorry to JP_Rain & everyone else for the inconveniences.

    Tacoma World,

For the customers experiencing issues with the driver side contacting the pinch welds. We will be in contact to work out a solution with you. This was an error during assembly and we estimate that it only affected 7-10 sliders before we were aware.

Moving forward, we are making constant improvements to our design. Starting by creating a new fixture, higher craftsmanship in assembly and welding. Larger gussets for more rigidity.

    Improvements/Changes Include:

    - welded metal end caps

    - entirely new fixtures for assembly

    - larger support gussets

    - full plated step plate w/ RRW logo (standard option)

    - improved powder-coating for better durability and texture

    - backing plates for mounting

    - We are working to add an optional bed liner finish which is more durable than powder-coating

Although raw material and labor cost is on the rise, we are doing our best to keep production cost low so we can continue to offer a quality product without breaking the bank.

    Ray @ RRW

Does this mean you knew about the issue before they were completed, and shipped out? or you were made aware after customers installed them and posted about it here?
