I have been running my sliders still since last fall and they are still looking solid. I am aware that production has varied a lot since I originally got them. RRW has been through different people fabricating them. They still look good and are holding strong. The only thing I have always noticed is that the powder coat easily scratches. I do not have any rust showing through though.

Are these DOM or HREW tubing?

So I guess that makes these V3.5

V1 - The round tube design still pictured in the first post

V2 - Added kick-out supports, support gussets and a small step plate with RRW logo

V3 - Smaller gussets without notch, larger step plate with RRW logo, plastic end caps and changed to in-house production (read through the thread for the history)

V3.5 - Appears to have corrected all the issues from V3 (Post #899 lists the changes that were being made)

V4 - The square tube version that was posted on Instagram and referenced as V2 by RRW

I agree with @Admiral_Akbar that they look really good... really good based on the updated pictures on their website as well. Now we just need a volunteer for some feedback.

@RayRRW I know there was talk of having the V3 kept in stock once the pre-sales were filled... moving forward, are there any V3.5 in stock? Or are the V3.5 pre-sale only at this time?

We're going to stock the V3 (Small corner top plate) & V3.5 (Full top plate) but we only have a limited supply of the V3 . Once those are out, we're going to stick with the V3.5 with the fully top plate. We're going to be stocking square tubing sliders as well but we won't release it until we have it in stock.

We have about 15 sets of round tubing coming in and 20 sets of the new square tubing. On the new square tubing sliders, the only parts that are going to be square tube is the main straight tube & the legs that are welded onto the mounting plate. The outer rub rail will still remain round tubing to keep the same type of look.

Not sure what I'm getting, I emailed them soon as I ordered them on June 5th. I told them I wanted the round tube design and all it said was noted. No update and it's been about 8 weeks since I put my order in.

I ordered mine on June 5th order #R2769. I was wondering what version I'm getting. I prefer the 3.5's because of the welded end caps. What are the delivery time, it's been about 8 weeks and no word. Thanks.

I’m in the v2 camp, and the powder coat is not holding up well. But I started spot applying this paint, and it seems to be doing well, and matches the existing finish pretty well:

Just a PSA for anyone else in the same boat.

All the new slider orders are going to get the end caps welded.

Btw to those who haven't got one yet:

Price will be increased to $950 in a week or so

Thanks for posting this up! How does the texture look on that? I used the Rustoelum bed liner spray can to touch mind up after a couple runs. Really like the texture on it.

@RayRRW is there a way I can specify I want square tubing? Are both square and round the same price? I am thinking about ordering the square tube ones if I can get them on the same discount.

Also, what's the angle on these. I saw early in the thread you thought it was over 30 but it looks like less. Can you confirm what the angle is?

We're not raising the prices for that reason... Please understand that it takes a lot of time and resources to manufacturer these rock sliders in order to keep us afloat. The price was not 100% confirmed, it might be lower as quote since I offer a lot of promo codes but we will do our best to offer the most competitive pricing.

There are so many processes that we have to go through in order to get to the final product. We've taken extra precaution and steps for quality assurance which adds to the production time. Will definitely make a video very soon to show you guys the process that we go through to make your sliders.

I'll pm to get your specially ordered. Both round & square tubing will be the same price. We do plan on switching over to square tubing pretty soon.
