Mine traveled from CA to NY. I can’t think of any reason why anyone’s would take longer than that. Hopefully someone can give you an answer.

I ordered 9/24 and haven’t received shipping. I spoke with RRW and they said they were finishing up the 2nd batch by end of the week 10/19 and should start to see orders being fulfilled next week. 4 weeks is fine by me, these were $575 and it’s still 4-8 weeks less time than any other company.

Thanks a lot for your honest feedback.

I will be sure to bring this up to the team to make improvements on the powder coating, installation instructions, and production lead times. We did have to raise the prices up a little because we added gussets & reinforcement bars but the sliders are still considered to be on sale.

Definitely disappointed in the powder coating so I'm going to make sure that we will find a much better source for powder coating. Bed lining wouldn't be a bad idea. The only downfall is that it makes the sliders really heavy but the finish is almost indestructible. Nevertheless, I'm going to make sure we find a better alternative for the finishing.

Again, I'm terribly sorry on the lead times of the sliders. I'm going to call in on Monday to get an update and will update you guys as soon as I get the update.

You really should think about offering a discounted option to have shipped bare... not everyone wants or likes powder coat.

I had to contact Pilot to schedule delivery. They were just sitting at the airport.

@RayRRW Any update on installation instructions? Doesn’t have to be fancy but I’d like to know how many connections per side are part of the design strength. Just want to make sure I’ve got them on as designed before putting them through the paces.

Thanks for being responsive and accepting of criticism. I'm sure you guys will get it sorted out and we'll see some great products. Fingers crossed your fab and production team is as good as your customer service.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
I am still excited to get my set, in spite of the harsh critics on here. These are the same folks who complain about the transmission, throttle, headlights, mirrors, etc. I adore everything about my Taco, and expect these sliders from RRW will meet my every expectation. If there are no install instructions by the time I get mine (hoping soon;-) I will take photos, do an install write up, and send it to them to use. They help us with a great product at a really good price, we help them by doing the install docs and posting reviews for them!

This thread is pretty ridiculous. Especially for low price point and current lead times, which are nowhere near as long as options costing almost twice as much.

    Ordered 9/10
    Shipping notification 10/3
Pilot attempted to pick them up 10/3, 10/4 and 10/17
    Emailed pilot/RRW 10/17
Response from RRW that a large batch had gone to powder coating at the same time and apologied for the delay.

So maybe we got our shipping notifications too early?

No one is telling you that you can't be excited.

You must be the only 3rd gen owner who didn't get a trashcan of a transmission.

They aren't doing us any favors. We are paying them.

    No, that's their job.

Didn't you start your post by bashing people who reviewed the product?

I had some time to kill this weekend, so I bought a cobalt drill bit, and drilled out the other 2 tabs (All 3 tabs come from RRW with holes, but there is only 1 frame hole already on the Tacoma). The frame area is clear behind, and it's pretty quick work with the right drill bit. If anyone decides to do the same, I would advise wearing gloves, a long sleeve shirt and safety glasses. The tiny metal shavings go everywhere.

Next up, I want to jack the truck at several points along the rails to check the amount of deflection. I'll post what I find.

How sturdy were they before you drilled them? Strong enough to be used as steps I’m hoping? Trails down here are mostly sand so me stepping on top of them to wash my roof is going to happen way more than the dropping them on a rock.
