Has anybody installed race relation wheels diy slider kit. I'm having trouble getting the frame plates to line up correctly.20200716_122043.jpg
I have these 4 large holes lined up over the rivets
    20200716_122135.jpg
And this bolt on the bottom installed
    20200716_122128.jpg
But the front by the cross member doesnt line up and seems to be bent at the wrong angle and even if it did line up there is nothing on the crossmember to bolt to. Am I doing something wrong? Any pictures of these installed would be appreciated.

From what I gather that front plate is supposed to mount inside that rectangular hole in the frame. They use a nut welded to a piece of flat strap. I think they redesigned their mounting plate, they might have to ship u a new one lol

Pretty sure they messed up my hardware order. A week after my main shipment I got those welded tabs in the mail. I think the bolts are too small too.

ETA my plates did fit well and everything seemed fine in that aspect.

I followed that RRW slider debacle out of pure entertainment. I wouldn't be surprised if they were just made wrong, but I hope for your sake that they aren't.

That would make sense. But that hole is nowhere near the right place. Did you test fit the plates before you assembled

They better send new because I emailed them before buying about getting just the frame plates and they told me I had to buy the whole kit. That was literally the only part I wanted. I could have made the rest myself. I've been emailing back and forth with them but they have been slow to reply. I was hoping it was just something dumb I did fitting them

Yeah correspondence is super slow. Hopefully they'll make it right though. What a fuckin hassel. Mine had a huge delay because they said they had to redesign the plates. At first I thought they were lying to cover their asses, looks like it was for real haha.

Shouldn't there also be a joggle in the frame plate to account for the thicker frame forward of the transmission crossmember?

That does not exist on mine as well. "form in place" with the bolts is my guess

I bought mine right away when they released it I assumed it would be the same as their normal sliders just not welded together. I guess I was wrong

I am aware of that fact, yes.

Do you want a kit with a giant miss-fit bracket? Or you you want a kit you can actually install?

And how's that working out for you?

Why are you dead set of bolt on?
