Got the driver's side in. The other side is still the clazzios. Not too bad of an install. I definitely felt like my fingers hurt a lot more after doing the clazzio in the past. But with these I never had any issues whatsoever, I think it's because you're not technically pulling something over. Now because these are just like stock setup I can feel less cushion than I had with the clazzios.

Nothing wrong whatsoever. Clazzios are awesome. I just wanted a change.

You also have to remember I'm comparing these to my clazzio based on my experience of now putting these on and having clazzios for the last couple years. But really you can't compare the two because clazzios are just seat covers. These however are a permanent solution that look factory.
So really these honestly should be compared more to a cheaper alternative to Katskinz.

Yeah Clazzios kept my stock seats in mint condition and loved them. But these RRW seats look clean and now I don't have the strings and what not under the seats. Also with the clazzios I had to retighten them from time to time to keep them taught. And lastly with the clazzios back seat bottoms folded up and backrests down it was a really tight fit. But with the RRW as same as the factory setup, everything folds up without rubbing.

So my original concern had to do with the fact that they were synthetic. But then I remembered that my old Mercedes that I had for a number of years had synthetic also so I said for the price I was willing to take a chance. All the threading between each seat piece seems legit. I've installed about fifty interiors in the past between classic cars and modern cars. Many of which were leather. These rrw seats pretty much look factory. All the pieces I've dealt with so far as far as mounting to the seat frames are identical to factory. The only two things I have to say is that I was unable to remove the factory headrest material so I just left those on and put the new covers over them. You also have to make sure that you retain the metal rods from your old factory seats and reuse them.
I was speaking with Ray at rrw over all these months and the hardest part about all of this was trying to get it from the manufacturer in Taiwan. The good thing for those of you looking to purchase right now is that they ordered a giant shipping container of all these seats. So there are number of them in stock.

Finished the rears up last night. Not too hard and pretty straight forward install. Since these are designed just like stock seating material putting back together is just the opposite of disassembly.

Would you consider doing a write up for the install? Do you think install is do able for a total beginner?

Kinda late on that. I know Ray is planning on doing a video install soon to release. I installed one front seat today and it definitely was more time consuming. Since I have heated seats I had to remove the heating element from the old stock material on the backrest and bottom. There were a lot more hog ties. And lastly I had to cut off the straps from their prospective brackets which held the airbag. Then you have to attach the brackets to the new seat straps. It's not really hard, just time consuming. Here are some pics.

Finally finished up the fronts. Couple tips. One is to cut all circle holes that are already marked on the seats covers. Also cut holes to mimmick the factory ones on the lining that holds on the metal rods in the seat cushion. Makes life easier and reduces risk of cutting holes under tension while on the seat and creating a tear (ask me how I know? Oops). I also suggest taking off the front seat bottoms first (set it aside) and then doing the backrest. This allows you to properly mount the backrest cover without hinderance at the bottom. Still overall happy with the product especially for what they cost.

Received my RRW seats in black w/gray stitching last week. So far I’ve been able to do the rears. Very happy with the fit and finish. I’ve never done upholstery work before, but it only took about 3-4 hrs to complete the back seats.BEFDBE68-89C9-4443-AEF1-BBAA3E7B512A.jpg

Question regarding the headrests: Are the covers just slipped over the stock fabric? I tried opening the front passenger one and it just seemed to pull the foam apart as if it was attached to the stock material. Thanks!

The headrest covers just go over the existing fabric, at least that's how I did it. The only headrest fabric that would come off was the one for the middle seat.

I started to install my rear seat covers. On the seat back release strap hole do I just shove the extra material through the hole?

I cut two small slots in the extra fabric to make it fold easier, then tucked it into the whole. Ends up looking just fine.

Yup I just pulled the whole thing through without any cuts and it looked fine too so either way works.

The OEM head rest covers are glued onto the foam so you just slip over the covers for that part only.

Yea that's correct you're suppose to just pull that piece through the hole
