I wonder if this is compatible with the rear cross-traffic sensors and the parking sonar.

Honestly, that would stick out like a sore thumb and likely attract the wrong kind of attention especially in an end of the world situation. Someone would probably conclude the owner had food, water, gas, and/or guns and a lot of ammo and attack the weakest link (driver/passengers) to steal whatever is in it. The flatbed only part probably wouldn't attract too much attention and could weld/bolt in a strong box for storage. That would look like every other journey man (construction). Think I'd go with their EVO solution instead. Looks like every other regular cap but likely much stronger than the usual fiberglass caps. That would attract less attention.

Now if you're making a movie, I'd say throw that in. It would look awesome in an end of the world movie.

Not entirely sure that would be a real deciding factor for someone actually buying this lol also 99% of TW tacos will stand out like a sore thumb with $15k in armor, tent & gear

The ones with the racks and the tent on top of the rack sure will as would $15K of armor on any vehicle. All that gear under a regular cap probably won't though.

Sounds like a fantasy world. No one is going to tell the difference between the 2 and decide not to rob you because you spent $3,500 on a topper vs $15,000 on a bed replacement.

No but less likely to attract attention if the truck looks like all the other trucks in the neighborhood.

Almost pulled the trigger on one of these, but I figured I could buy a lot of cool shit with the extra 9k I'd have if I settled for a bed rack and a decked box.

That being said, I hope I never see one in person or I'll suffer from some serious envy.

Can't believe no one has asked the obvious: could a person fashion gun ports for the side panels and a turret for a mini-gun for the roof?

Not going to lie, the drop side option would just about be the ultimate truck bed for overall use. Fashion a Softopper cover to it and done deal, sign me up.

If they had a 3/4 or 2/3 height version that would be cool. Sticking a RTT up on top would increase of CoG. Have never been a fan of that much weight up high
