Hey Ryan what is the warranty on the lights?

 

The website states "4 Year Manufacturer Warranty against Defects", but that's a little vague.

 

Is there a description what that would imply?

 

Hey guys, Yes there is a 4 year manufacturer warranty against any defects or premature wear. essentially if the bulb burns out within that 4 year period it is covered. Now there are a couple stipulations, one of them being that the built in fan must be open and have space behind to bring in fresh air as excessive heat can be deadly to LED chips. With the 3rd Gen its not an issue as there is no dust cap behind the bulb. With the 2nd gen, the dust cap would need to be modified a bit so the fan can get air behind the dust cap, it must be trimmed to be able to fit the fan. The vehicle also must not run a reduced wattage for a day time running light, if it does, the DRL must be deactivated or just run the lights in the on position. The reduced wattage or pulsating current that some DRL lights run can ruin the LED chip as well. I hope that help clarifies the warranty a little.

 

So if I'm reading this correctly on my 3rd gen I can't use my daytime running lights or it might burn out the processor on the led headlights?

 

If your day time running lights use the low beam bulb, just keep them in the on position, it will ensure they work properly for a long time. The low beams should have the auto off feature too. Life of the bulbs under normal use is approximately 30000 hours. If your Taco has the LED DRL (L shape), then you don't need to worry about anything.
