I bought a cheap ($30 Canadian) aluminum folding table that was purchased a while back from Princess Auto, a cheap Harbour Freight type...it works for us...

Installed my load bars today. It was kind of a pain to get them equally on both sides by myself.

Are they RSI's own or from another manufacturer?, I got Frontrunner on ours and the sliding bottom plates did not fit so I had to cut and file...they were far too wide. Looks good.

It's from RSI. I was not in a rush so I ordered from Off-road Alliance and waited 2 months for them.

I know this is an odd question, but would these be adequate to secure a few sheets of plywood / OSB to get from the local home improvement store to my house?

Anyone know if the Roofnest mounting bracket fits the RSI load bars? Or is the load bar too wide?

If you get the Frontrunner cab rack too, you could get a third table! Frontrunner has the camp table and a prep table.

Which Roofnest bracket do you have? I have an older Sparrow and the bracket is came with isn't the same as the one they sent me when I ordered a replacement last year.

Need to get clarification on a couple things before I continue my install

on the front and rear panels it has the foam gasket along the inner flange- but there are 2 spots that it is doubled up (nearest the corner-intersect t where side/front/roof meet). Is this supposed to be there purposely and it will squeeze/bend to seal when tightened?
Backed up view to get your bearings
    97F1D9DC-570C-4F67-B566-82A6DB43F9A2.jpg

Doubled up foam on flange between the 2 corner clips (you can see the gap at hand tight but also the 2 half’s of the clips don’t seat into each other currently). I’m guessing it will both squeeze the foam and bent the lip to seat the 2 halves of the clip but want to hear it from experience
    7F6D4A0F-632D-4C97-983C-DE18721C17AF.jpg

On the bed cap side of the canopy I have foam rolled over the edge right where the d gasket will be placed. Should I leave this and have the d placed over the hump or cut flush so it’s flat for the d? I’m m guessing cut the excess rolled over foam so the d is flat but want experience to confirm

Mine came like that too, its double up. I left mine alone and continued my install.

A quick tip, don't use their torque spec. Go by feel, that way you don't stripped anything.

Seems odd to only double up those 2 spots.

I know about not using the torque spec for the rail clamps to bed but are others also having issues with the torque spec on the roof to side panel bolts and front/rear panel clips? I mean it’s what 4 and 6 ft/lbs with both being metal versus the bed rail caps being plastic and the canopy metal causing some to bow the metal and “imprint” the bed rail caps

That's just the extra foam seal. They could have trimmed it but continue assembly and don't worry. That foam will compress . Do everything by hand feel, torque specs are not exactly good, tighten by feel, a good solid feel.

In the cap that I had… I didn’t assemble it but you could see all the marks on the metal from where the ratchet was wearing on the metal. Needs a ratcheting box wrench.

From the instructions it seems to me they suggest having the bolt head facing the center of roof which seemed odd, unless I’m misunderstanding that part, because the rsi logo side would be hidden and I’d of thought that would be on the visible side/facing center of roof (to hide the hardware/bolt).

so which way do your bolts face inside nearest the window? That ratchet box wrench is a good idea- thanks

Based on the instructions, what you have pictured here is the correct way to assemble.

Anyone looking for Mid Size load bars? Ordered when I ordered my cap for my Tacoma in July and they just came in. While waiting I went a different route and looking at doing QD for my tent. These are backordered so wanted to offer them up if someone is looking at cost (245) plus the ride (ups is about 15-20) before looking to return them.
