Yes, the top right MT mount hits the tent at about 1/3 open. I will remedy this weekend. The MT mounts can be shortened with a little effort if only carrying one pair or I may go with a different mount.

Yes, without the tent it stays open with no issue and heavier struts are an inexpensive option if needed.

Yes, I can put a myriad of other accessories now or pull them off and just cap off the rivnuts. I also have all 4 MT mounts; I just must have taken the pic before I installed them.

Just a heads up guys - I placed an order for a F150 smart cap yesterday and the local shop (in SLC, UT) I bought it from said that I'll have it in about 2 weeks from now. There is supposedly a ship arriving to the USA this week with the latest shipment from South Africa. So if you're considering ordering you might get lucky...

I am traveling but will get some this weekend. I only drilled through the first layer into the void so it is clean on the inside.

That's what i was curious about. I see that you used rivnuts to attach the mounts. Looks great. There's always a lot of questions when your the first to do something.

Yeah, I was more than a little scared drilling into the cap but am happy with the result. I will be doing the same on the other side to hold my Joolca instant hot heater and a Roto-pax.

Thought about mounting my Roto-pax on the outside, but figured full of fluid would over gross the door hinges/gas pistons.

It may, but then take it off to open the hatch or replace with heavier struts; either is an inexpensive option and I wouldn't imagine that you would open the hatch often with a full Roto-pax. I leave mine empty until heading to a trail.

I have mine two gas and two water Roto-pax mounted on my Rebel Offroad (https://rebeloffroad.com/rotopax-toyota-nissan-truck-plate-rx-tn/) hangers in my bed. Secure and out of the way until needed.

I got ya. I wanted to keep more options open or I would;d've gone with a Decked system too. They're awesome. I run the Cali raised molle on the side panels with all my extra gear (axe, shovel, straps, recovery gear, etc.) and also IceCoVL75D dual zone (that I may put on a slider that they started offering last week). 5.5 feet fills up fast.

After running through the forum, any solutions for the locks with the covers? I see people made magnetic covers and Mikes selling covers too. Not sure how to install the one from mikes but I would like to know my options.

I'm waiting for my cap to arrive to see what, if anything, RSI has done to improve the weather performance of the latches.

On a Decked system you definitely need a tilting slider unless you're 7' tall!

Exactly, I also need to get longer struts for the back hatch to allow clearance for the Dometic door.

I ordered one at the end of November. Wasn't expecting it until the end of February, but I wouldn't be upset if it comes soon.
