    just preference.
I sleep in the back and without unlockable latches from the inside I figure this was the next best thing. Plus a side window is always nice for the camping views.

I feel like I have the best of both worlds now.

With the bed closed I’d have to be in the fetal position. Short bed anxiety.

Can’t even explain how happy I am with this purchase. 6 month wait was not ideal but it’s the best looking cap imo. Saw an alu-cab in person right after I got mine and it’s not even close from an aesthetics position imo. Feels so solid as well.

I noticed with an empty bed it’s real dark and hard to see anything. Even if it’s bright out it’s hard to see. So I added some carpet and LED’s. I think it turned out well.

For anybody interested the prinsu rack fits the RSI shell. I used the track nuts that came with the shell and just bought some M8 bolts and made the mounting holes slightly larger with a step bit so I didnt have to mess with the plates prinsu provided. Little height difference but it nominal and was expected.

So after spending some time with the folks at RSI this weekend I thought I would share the major take aways.

    1. The new latch does exist and its AMAZING. Yes it will be fully weatherproof and unlock from inside. Yes it will retrofit all the old caps.

    2. They have improved the packaging greatly to prevent damage in shipping.

    3. The Bed Replacement System is Incredible, now with drop down sides that store in the bed and double as loading ramps. The new side drawers gives you more storage options. I can't wait until we start installing these.

BUH GAWD... that bed replacement system is absolutely stunning

    Edit:
    • Does this work with that flatbed cap of theirs, I presume?
    • Estimated MSRP? Me want.

Just put in a warranty claim, so I’m hoping to have updated replacement info soon, also.

Can't put in a warranty claim just yet... I still have to purchase the cap. Think the first one to market with the ability to latch from the inside takes my money.

I believe it will work. We need to get a production model in our hands first

I don't know exact date. If I had to guess I would say July. They are making the latch in house and getting it patented hence no pictures

@Mike's Custom Toys , thank you for the update. as has been mentioned, there's likely to be a wave of orders when the new latches hit the ground.

I ordered the covers for my latches through them and their service is fantastic. BRAVO ZULU
