Btw , I sent an e-mail to http://smartcap.com/ and mentioned that I would be experiencing freezing temps where I live ( and purchased the cap ) and Lionel ( senior tech ) responded immediately saying he would arrange a shipment to me . 24 hours later tracking number and shipping confirmation. Just awaiting 6 covers . Couldn’t ask for better customer service than that. Will probably be packing my lock sets with waterproof grease when the covers arrive and I have them out.

I’m sure someone here can help me out or tell me why I shouldn’t do it. I have a set of traction boards, not maxtrack brand. Is there a way to mount them to the inside top of my Smartcap? I have a RTT that is supposed to be delivered soon so the outside is not going to work for now. I’m wanting to mount them on the inside. I just don’t know what hardware to get or if there is another option. Thanks

I started working on something a while back that uses the holes where the table would mount. Maybe I’ll start working on this again at some point. You’ll still need some sort of stud mounts like Maxtrax uses though.

Whats the size of the threaded holes that the table uses?

Anyone have any issues with their cap being about an 1/8in or so off to one side measuring from the back sides of the cap to the rear of the bed frame. May have shifted after install and driving, nuts are tight (7ish ft lbs). No leaks after rain and washing the truck a few times. I don’t want to disrupt the “chi” of the seal if I don’t have to.

I don't think I would mess with mine if it shifted 1/8".

Sorry. I work nights and I’m just starting my day. I have an EVO Sport Smartcap. I had my RTT delivered today but before that I slept in the bed of my truck.
On one of my camping trips I noticed that the roof has some screw holes on the inside of the roof and I assumed that they were for the table attachment and other accessories. Even if I had to lay the traction boards side by side I think it would free up some room and I wouldn’t have to lug them to the truck and back into the garage after every trip. I found some things on EBay that may work and now that I know the hole size I’ll look again tonight.
    MAXX I’m all ears

TBH, I won’t even think about revisiting this project until next, just too much going on right now.

Looks like Mikes sale is going to apply to the SmartCap.

Do the orders placed now come with the new latches? This may be the time I've been waiting for...

Does this mean the replacement latches will be available soon?
