Can confirm RSI is sending these new latch covers out with warranty requests for one. Got it very quickly after asking for them, and for free. I like them a lot.

Just make a warranty request on the RSI website stating exactly what you said above as the reason you need them, they got right back to me. The warranty stuff is at the bottom of the website.

I got the new brackets on Friday before I left for work. Installed them today and finished before the sun went down. The RTT with new brackets and the FR load bars and the RSI Smartcap all fit together like peanut butter and jelly.

Hope I am on the right thread. I recently purchased an EVO Sport for my 2017 Tacoma, short bed. Fricken love this topper. Had many fiberglass toppers and will never go back. But, due to security issues in very remote wilderness areas, I want to see if anyone was interested in swapping out side panels. I want the solid panels, without windows. My topper is only about 2 months old and is the standard matte finish black.

I would take $100 cash to cover the $200 difference is fair and we could double up on installation to make that go smoother and faster.

If anyone is interested let me know. I live in Reno, Nevada.

Thanks and everyone have a great day.

Are you saying that you don't feel safe with the glass doors?

Not me, my gear. Every weekend I am in the mountains. I always bring mtn bike gear, hiking, skis, snowshoes, fly fishing, camping,... Because of the endless opportunities where I live and the sometimes long drives to get there I bring a lot of stuff. So, when I am at a remote trailhead or even further out on old fire roads, I want extra security for my stuff. Having had some minor gear stolen from a previous topper with side windows, the side window was actually broken into, I want the added security. I ordered the Sport at the time due to its availability over the Adventure at the time. So this is just a personal preference and nothing to do with RSI. Once my rear screen comes in and I have the side window panels replaced, I will at least keep the honest criminals honest. I realize that if anyone wants to get in they will get in. But at least the RSI, in my opinion, will make them work a lot harder.

You want to swap panels? :)

I could have swore there is an option for metal security screens inside the windows. No?

@Michael T - ^^^ This. Also, I believe you can switch out either side (both the same) and short/long bed. Someone will hopefully chime in and verify if my memory of prior posts is correct.

Yeah it looks like the doors are the same on short and long beds and the only difference is the length of the topper

Anyone running a decked drawer system along with one of the bins or the kitchen?

Looking for a measurement of the gap between the bottom of the bin and to top of the decked if possible.

ORA. Probably should have gone with you since we're West Coast based tbh. My EVOs came in June and was ordered at the same. I guess the EVOa just has higher demand.

Does anyone have a suggestion for running the wire for my rear dash cam. I am thinking leaving the cab under the seat through the grommet then up in the front corner of the bed and follow the rail until the back.
