Smartcap just told me that my 6’ canopy will have new latches and they should have all back orders for 3rd gen 6’ orders by July

 

Heard the same thing about the 6' caps. July seems reasonable, but man it's already been seven months for me. Almost canceled and ordered something else a few times, but trying to be patient.

 

I loved my SmartCap and regret selling it. Almost bought another one because I liked it so much, actually.

Didn't though, only because without a yard it's a pain to remove/store and I like hauling big stuff.



If RSI found a way to make a SmartCap with removable top panels similar to how a t-top/new Hummer/new Bronco works I'd be all over that, even at a premium.

 

Patiently waiting notification from Offroad Alliance on my 6' Adventure with these recent deliveries.
Seems RSI had troubles with the finishing process that needed to be straightened out before releasing these caps.

 

FYI to others. Got some Putco plates to use with my Smartcap but found the long dimension of the rectangular protrusion to be just a bit too long to insert into the molle opening. Had to trim back the ends bit with a Dremel to get it to fit. YMMV.

 

I have been noticing some fit and some dont. Not sure if the plastic has some discrepensies or excesive paint on some panels.

 

Same, ordered both the Sport and a 6' Adventure end of 2021 and still waiting on the Adventure.

 

Pretty neat video released from SmartCap showing their Fort Worth manufacturing facility. Interesting that their paint line is as big as their laser cutters/bending cells.

Also I see flatbeds at 3:06 drone shot.

Dan and Mike at Mike's Custom Toys did an awesome job installing my new Evo Sport. Drove down from Seattle to get it done and it looks great. Drove back in some torrential rain and there was a bit of leaking through the intake vent, but I kind of expected that.

Installed the bin awhile back. Haven’t been on here for awhile. But here’s my review.

Good little compartment for the bed with quick access to my stuff. Could use a little more depth but overall I’m happy.
