Any major difference between the RSI bars vs the Frontrunner bars? Also, never had an awning before, do they mount to bars or are they for racks only?

Don’t know what the difference is. @Mike’s Custom Toys could answer that.
Awnings can mount to racks and load bars

Smartcap Evo Sport 5ft beds are available! We currently have plenty of extras in stock, ready to go. Unfortunately the new latches are not out yet but they are coming soon from what we're being told. The Adventure caps and 6ft bed caps are coming very soon as well. Smartcap did a production run of the 5ft Sports first. Next up are the 5ft Adventures, then 6ft Sports and finally 6ft Adventures. They cranked out 100's of the 5ft bed Sports in a relatively short period of time so we're confident they'll be able to do the same with the other caps.

For now, we've got Evo Sport 5ft beds in stock! ---->>> OFFROADALLIANCE.COM

A couple of questions for the group on this thread who have already addressed these items:
(I know I've seen the topics discussed here in this thread - but despite my efforts, I cannot locate the specific conversations on the thread!)

    Thanks in advance!

1.- What fasteners work on the RSI cap rails?
    - Say I wanted to secure an eyebolt for a sun-sail support / tie-down (a shade canopy), etc.

2.- Regarding Load bars; I know there was much discussion on the best solutions out there. I am looking for a set of multi-purpose load bars (i.e. Not for RTT). I see most (RSI / Frontrunner) are 1255mm (and they seem to be the same product.)
    - Are there any alternatives? Both of the above are good. But I'd like some that are a bit longer and overhang to the side a bit. Not hugely, maybe 15cm on the side (~7").
    Thanks.

M8 hardware in the tracks, the cap comes with 4 nuts per track/side if I recall. Slide nut to desired location tighten down eyebolt locking it in place. Unsure about RSI’s bars but Front runner makes longer load bars for full size trucks that might fit your needs to overhang a bit more on the sides.

I have Frontrunner bars on my Smartcap, but cut them down to eliminate the interference. 5 min job.

    Thank you @RDT415
Hmmm- I did not receive any such hardware- (I just looked in my Rsi leftover spares box) It seems that the typical T-nuts would not be the best fit there... what is the intended hardware?

Thank you for the details @OffroadAlliance.com

Only 90mm difference - but that may be sufficient... ( actually a bit less if trimming is needed)
Can you please provide guidance on the cap track hardware? I don't have any that came with the cap.

Thank you @StoneTrees - I may follow your example.
Do you recall how much you had to trim?
There's only 90mm difference between the two sizes.

    @OZ TRD

There should be some track nuts pre-installed. But beyond that the cap itself does not come with any additional hardware. Accessories like the load bars, racks, etc, they come with the remaining mounting hardware.

The nuts came pre installed in the channels on my topper.

    Mine did not have anything...
I looked again at the spare parts box and in my tracks. There are no nuts. I need to ID these please.

My bars now measure 50". That leaves about a 1/2 inch of clearance between the bottom of the load bar and the wing door.

I was also missing some nuts, I contacted RSI and they shipped them right out. From what I remember looking online, it was hard to find the stainless steel nuts at a decent price unless you bought an absurd number of them.

Does anyone know the vertical measurement from bottom of bin to bed?

Has anyone had success insulating their Smartcap? I’ve tried reflectix but am looking for something a little less half a$$ed looking.

Regarding nuts and bars - (yeah - don't go there...)

Anyone find a good way to lock the bars to the SmartCap? And lock a RTT to the bars/cap? I've seen a couple of lockable straps and such, but from what I can tell the bad guy can simply slide the bars off the rails? Thanks!

Is this actually a thing where you live? Have people slid RTT’s off truck caps?

I haven't seen one that's been slid off, but they have been cut off.

So not trying to be paranoid, just avoid a rookie mistake. Stupid me for instance, if there's a $5 part that the entire world knows about but me to avoid this. Just not finding anything on OOGLE.
