What’s the story on the front panel? I maybe interested in that. Any issues with it?

It was replaced by RSI when I first got it after finding some clear overspray on the paint and front window. Its hardly noticeable just not something I wanted to live with on a brand new cap

Oof, I see the expected ship date on Offroad Alliance is now 3/13. Seems to move two weeks every time the estimated date approaches.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
The real question is if that date is only for new orders or if it includes existing orders as well.

Well I ordered around the end of November 2023 and have seen at least three other ship dates on the product page since then. My actual order has never changed from "Awaiting fulfillment." :notsure:

Your post gives me little confidence in the accuracy of any delivery date predictions/promises. With that said, I do understand the unpredictable nature of starting a new manufacturing facility. It never goes smoothly, and is almost always late and over budget. I hope I can get mine in time for the warm season.

    *****************************

I posted the inventory status from the RSI website about two weeks ago, and the timeline is still the same. I guess we shall see.

They are available now, there are different p/n depending on where your cap was made.

We met with Smartcap's entire executive team in person over the weekend. We shipped out the 6ft Evo Adventures (all backorders and all recent orders) over the last week or two and we have more in stock, ready to ship. The 5fts are in production as of a week or so ago and will continue to be produced for the next handful of weeks. They're producing large quantities, so new orders, backorders and everywhere inbetween will be fulfilled with some leftover for our stocking orders.

That's some of the most positive news I've heard.
Were y'all able to tour the shop? Was every department running at full rate?

We actually met and toured their new production facility a handful of months ago. They're definitely going as fast as they can while ensuring the highest quality possible.

What's the latest and greatest on getting the new latches as a standalone out to previous generation owners?

They are still working on getting a surplus of latches to cover production caps and have extra to sell as stand alone. Probably a couple months out.

I hope that water can't get into the latch like it can with the old latches. It looks like if it does it can then leak to the inside of the canopy through the red latch and it's pivot points.

    All the things!
Most companies will give them out for free if you contact them. For example, King gave me a whole mess of stickers to replace them on my shocks.

It's relatively cheap advertising! Just shoot them an email.

Thinking about getting the RSI Smartcap, but also want to put an RTT on top.

I'm concerned the RTT may hang over the sides or back a tad bit. Is it possible to adjust the range of motion of the rear and side door panels, so they stop at 90deg?
