That's kind of what I assumed. I had a minor brain shut-down when I was trying to think of the name of the tool used. I do agree on the looks, at least from the pictures. The RLD I saw in person was for a Gladiator and it wasn't bad. Fitment was another story, though. I also didn't like how the cap attaches to the utility track. It was a minor thing, but it couldn't been done better. RSI has claimed that they will sell individuals panels in case of damage. And that part is nice for sure.

I'm just very torn on the whole deal and can't make a decision. It's a good bit of money and I don't want to get it and be disappointed.

I placed my deposit down the other day and am waiting for the cap to ship out!
They are providing free shipping while promoting the product launch. So its coming to my house and I will install it. Hopefully leak free! Thanks everyone for responding.

Just got an email saying the caps arrived earlier than expected, so here's your invoice to pay. Now saying maybe 2 weeks before it arrives

Looking forward to seeing yours, I am really on the fence. If it was $3k I would already have done it.

In because I am eyeing the RSI as well. Curious if it is worth the premium over a standard cap. Sure looks the part, just curious on the longevity of the seals as the others have stated.

I don't personally have one... but it seems well thought out and has a unique look (that I like). This is definitely more appealing to the overland crowd, and less so to those that use their truck for work and hauling, as it seems to make some concessions that a typical cap doesn't. Most notably, it seems the side pockets (storage areas) take up a considerable amount of room within the cap. This is probably a turnoff to a lot of buyers.

I'll be interested to hear some forum member's experiences with it.

I considered the alucab and RLD before deciding on the RSI. The big deciding factors for me were: the front profile follows the angle of the cab instead of straight up and down like the RLD and AC, the hinges being internal, and the doggy window for my pup (already ordered her a pair of Rex specs lol) Anxiously waiting for delivery and I’ll give a more in-depth impression

I was also considering a Leer 100xr or ARE CX to replace my MX but after seeing the RSI the former options just seemed well...boring...lol
