The SmartCap EVOa Adventure has been built for extreme on-road and off-road use. From its 5-piece modular stainless steel design to the double-walled stainless steel side Gullwing doors (instead of windows on the Evo Sport model) with interior MOLLE Panels for mounting your gear, this thing will take all the adventure you can throw at—and then some.

The RSI Smart Canopy EVOa Adventure is the perfect solution for anyone looking for a Truck Cap / Camper Shell for their Toyota Tacoma Truck with a 5' or 6' Bed. Due to the modular design, the assembly of the cap takes under 1 hour, and installation approximately 15 minutes due to the lightweight nature.

The SmartCap EVOa Adventure is Forged from steel (not fiberglass), it could be said the SmartCap EVO is built like a truck, not a boat. From off-roading to the job site, it’ll withstand the daily abuse you give it, while also being able to hold up to 330 lbs. when moving or 770 lbs. when parked.

But this bruiser’s more than brawn. From its modern angular design to the Gullwing Doors with low profile push-button latching mechanisms to the sleek integrated roof rails, the SmartCap EVOa Adventure enhances the rugged look of your truck.

The stainless steel SmartCap EVO can be removed in approximately 15 minutes, giving you the ability to haul taller loads.

Did you order it direct from RSI? There's a few in stock now so should be shipping soon. And there's a few different freight companies utilized for transport.

@OffroadAlliance.com, did RSI change the branding/logo on both EVO designs? On their site some photos show different designs, but in photos everyone posts it's different. I'm hoping the new RSI logo on the EVOa is here to stay, it's much less obnoxious than the others. Does it still appear to be removable vinyl?

Yes, RSI Smartcap is becoming Smartcap. New logo should be phased in across all their caps soon enough.

The majority of the modular attachments like the racks, rails, bins, kitchens, etc have been trickling in over the last month or two. A large shipment of all of those parts is scheduled to arrive in February. So for those that have been waiting, the wait is almost over.

SmartCap has changed their design now? Or are there multiple options? Whats new on the new one? Logo, no windows? What else?
Can we remove the RSI Logo on the original model? Thanks

Does anyone have a picture of the cap on a DCLB? I searched the forum and could only find a picture of it on an SR5 access cab. Thanks! Also, any solution for opening the windows/door from the inside? I want to sleep in the back, but not if I can't get out!

There is a new cap, the Smartcap Adventure. It features solid side doors with molle panels on the inside. RSI Smartcap is now just Smartcap. The updated logo will start making its way onto all the caps soon.

New locks are in the works and should be available 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year. We've been told that they will allow the user to open the hatch from the inside. Pics of the cap on an access cab attached.

Awesome to see the stainless version!. The large windows were a major part of what drew me to the original version, but man is the stainless version tough looking! And that's a ton of real estate for someone to come up with some designs of their own (@Afilao) ! Speaking of which...

finally removed the rear decal on my cap and have a simple matte black RSI logo I'll throw on there that @Afilao made me while he cooks up something a bit more unique (coming soon). Removal of vinyl is super simple, just takes time, a little Goo Gone and elbow grease.

Please post some photos when you get it. I want the EVOA, but would like to see a few more photos before pulling the trigger.

For those of you that are running a prinsu rack on the cab and the canopy, how much higher does the the prinsu sit on top of the canopy above thebcab rack?

I tried to find an answer in the thread but may have missed it.

Playing around with @Afilao as to how the badging could (dare I say should?) have looked coming straight from RSi. Matte black RSI decals he made me for the rear and side panels. Fun stuff but cap looks good cleanly debadged too, not sure I'll throw that side panel decal on as I'm kinda tired of killing brain cells with GooGone fumes, and have something else in the works for the side anyway.

Not at this time. Possibly towards the end of 2021 or early 2022. No word on pricing, delivery, etc.
