The paint on my back door around the window looks like it’s trying to start rusting. It’s only a year old and truck is kept very clean. So hope there’s some kinda warranty for that.

I bought mine last year so it had the new style latch. They have been replaced once already by RSI due to popping open. On the new set I have one is still doing it, and originally I thought it was due to the cold. Now that the weather has warmed up, it is still occurring. You can hear that it does not latch firmly like the others. I think the inner latch is not biting enough, perhaps due to tolerances and the paint. I just submitted another ticket to RSI.

While being able to open them from inside is nice, the lack of a safety on the button is frustrating. When I pack for camping I have to make sure nothing can touch one of those red buttons or it will pop the latch open. More than once I arrive somewhere to find out I was lucky only one latch popped.

My other claim that I sent inIMG_6584.jpgAll around the back glass is starting to get rust spots. I’ve contacted smartcap and they’re looking into what to do next.

The latch issue must definitely be a tolerances problem. I was about to finally reattach something to the side molle panel when I though the latch sounded odd when I closed it. Sure enough, I can just pull open the side panel. The sun is out today and the side panel is pretty hot. Did not get any response to my last inquiry on this, so submitting another one to RSI. These are already replacement latches from the original latches (new style). Add this to the design flaw that the red button release inside sticks out further than the black frame around it and the cap is not really secure at all. Right now I am just hoping these latches will not start popping open on their own like the original set, which causes the side panels to just raise on their own.

For those that went the extrusion roof bars route. Since the tracks aren’t square- 42 near cab, 40 near tail… did you get same length or 1 long bar and 1 shorter? At least for aesthetic purposes I’m thinking of differing lengths of 2”.

Anybody have recent pictures you want to show off? Im trying to envision how 1” overhang would look
