I have a 2019 with stock brake lights. When I hook things up the bottom half of the brake light stays off and the cap’s brake light doesn’t work.
Do I need to switch wires? If so which ones?

Or get a new cable set?

Depends on whether or not your stock tail lights are LED. The LED has three pins on the connector, the other one has 2.

I have this one. LED? So I need a different harness?

If that’s the triangle shaped connector on the back of the tail light, then yes you have LED and three pins so you need the harness that matches.

Looks good! Is there an advantage to using three feet per side versus the two I’m about to install?

To support a full rack three feet are suggested. For just load bars two is fine.

Had my EVOa installed last week and love it! From what I'm reading here it was the best $300 spent to avoid the build and install hassles. I am having the wiring issues as well. I will just pop the wires out of the connector and swap them.

I like the option of the security screen, but I don't want the commercial cap. Can you show more pictures on how that screen mounts.

The build and install wasnt bad at all. The hardest part was getting some help lifting the canopy onto the truck.

I am still on the fence about getting the Smartcap. I would like to get the EVO Sport but I am also open to the EVOa adventure. Can anyone who has had one for a while tell me how it is holding up? I live where it rains a lot, does it leak a lot? I’m just hesitant to spend that much money because I don’t want to be disappointed.

If you read through the thread you'll find there's a pretty good mix of complaints and complete satisfaction. I lean closer to completely satisfied, but also definitely recognize areas of improvement. Some area things I wish I knew before I put the cap on the bed, such as waterproofing the gaps in the bed rather than lazily leaving them be, others are things I recognize could be improved upon. It's by no means perfect, but for my purposes, which largely consist of additional lockable storage and a place for the pooch to ride on short commutes, it's been great.

Water intrusion is a mixed bag it seems. The positive pressure vent on the roof does not leak in my experience unless you have extremely turbulent, directed water. Put it this way: We've had a few thunderstorms and I've gone through a few touchless car washes since it's been installed. It only leaks during the car washes.

Others have had issues with the windows leaking. This has not been my experience. I am getting very little water intrusion, and it's coming from the bed, not the cap. Bed rails, and the gap between the bed side and front near the cab are the only sources of ingress for me.

The biggest concern I have are with the window latches, which others have reported rusting freezing. I know RSI is working on this, but I believe @OffroadAlliance.com has indicated that we don't know if this solution will be a warrantied replacement, or if it will be an additional cost to replace with improved hardware.

We have confirmed that RSI is working on new latches/locks and that they should be available end of this year or early next. How they will handle those (ie free replacement, out of pocket cost, etc) is unknown at this point. Haven't heard really that many people say rusting, more freezing during winter months due to water intrusion.
