Has any considered vinyl wrapping the SmartCap? I’m looking into white vinyls to match the truck but mostly reduce the heat absorbed. Looking into insulation options as well but every bit counts out here in AZ, especially this week.

I was wondering the same thing, I was thinking about wrapping it to match quicksand. Anybody have any idea what it might cost to wrap something that size?

Just wanted to chime in that I ordered a table for my cap in March and have had no proactive communication about its status. I’ve contacted their distributor a few times and have been told ETAs that elapse with no update. Seems to be the same with caps right now, too. I’m hopeful that my order will ship soon but if giving a company and hearing nothing for months isn’t your jam, you might want to hold off until they get their customer service in order.

Did you order from us? We've had these as backordered for months on our website. They are shipping, but slowly. Way, way too much demand and RSI simply can't keep up. Pair that with a ton of backlog and delays at every major port and it's super tough to provide lead times right now.

No, I ordered directly from RSI. I get that’s it difficult to provide lead times and I expected a wait, but that expectation was not set when I ordered. When I asked for a status, they told me two weeks and then nothing- wash, rinse, repeat. The one thing they do have control over is communication, but they are choosing not to do any of it. I wish their customer service were on par with yours!

I agree, you should cancel and go through a reputable dealer, the dealer will be move of an advocate for their customers. The Backorders on all RSI stuff is a nightmare right now you don't want to be just another number.

Yes. The 2nd Gen Evo Adventure caps are due to start shipping in the November/December timeframe. No word on the Sport model caps yet.

Is it possible to get on the list for the Adventure with the option to switch to the Sport if it's announced?

Yes, but you may need to verify the mounting hardware. We have a few customers that run them.

Somewhat unrelated but does anyone know if it would be im/possible to retrofit the window cage(s?) from the EVO-C into a Sport? Not sure why RSI thinks the only people meth heads steal from are contractors, but I plan to have lots of stuff I'd like to not be stolen in the bed too...

At the store it looked like maybe there were special clips that the cage was fit into, so my guess is that it's not easily doable.

Would be nice to see more aftermarket or even add-ons from RSI.

I believe that you're referring to the RSI rear window security screen. The security screen only fits the Evo C (Contractor) caps. The way that it mounts is only really compatible with that cap and not the other models such as the Evo Sport and Adventure. It's definitely a recommendation that has been made to offer additional security type screens or other similar types of products for the other caps. When and if RSI brings any to market remains to be seen. We have seen some folks make custom metal screens for their windows/cap, but nothing is currently sold or offered as a kit that we know of at this time.

The one I ordered technically did fit, you can use 5/16" bolts in the track but you won't be able to open the side gull-wing doors at all, not even a little bit. The rack is too wide plus the side rails hang down way too far, I spent probably 20 hours trying to get the RSI to work with the eX Bravo, you have to cut down the rails and raise it up significantly, I ended up going with a narrow Front Runner rack on my RSI and it allows me to open the side doors completely.
