    Rubber plugs not working great in auto washes or rain?

    Both, but heavy rain seems to be worse than the wash. It's really not that bad compared to the positive pressure vent in the auto wash. I'm still working on a fix for that.

    I emailed GOAT to see if they would make some armor for the smart cap, not so much worried about scratching it and the color works well on my MGM truck but I know others might prefer some different color options: They responded;

    Interesting. Pretty sure it’s stainless. Has anyone wrapped their cap?

    Does anyone know the size of those threaded inserts on the inside of the cap? My son and truck are in Colorado and he was trying to rig up some netting and lights, hence the question.

    The fun thing about getting out on the road camping, you soon discover things to be done!

    They're definitely stainless and magnets definitely work. Tons of people in this thread have used magnetized LEDs to light the interior... RSI even sells one, don't they?

    M8. I mounted some quickfists in those threaded holes on the ceiling of mine to hold my fishing rods, shop broom, whatever

    RSI is stainless 400 grade therefore magnetic, Alucab is aluminum maybe that's what they are confusing it with , even RLD is stainless...100% sure.

    Quick question for everyone with an RSi cap, would you be interested in a MOLLE panel for the top that attaches where the table supports would (6 nuts)?

    Got a buddy with a plasma cutting table and we were kicking around the idea. No idea on the price but trying to see if it was something worth running with.

    Thats a solid idea, I am sure there is some people out there that would be interested. It would need to be a thicker than the molle on the adventure caps. I have a table in my cap but those with a sport model would probably be interested.

    I have a table already but still waiting on my cap to arrive soon - so, perhaps I don't understand wtf I'm talking about - but I could be interested in a panel that mounts directly underneath the table bracket....:notsure:

    That would be difficult without fabbing up some extra brackets. I'm not getting the table so this was a way to figure out how to use the existing hardware that's already in the cap. If there's enough interest we could figure out how to do the brackets as well. Downside is I'd have to buy the table to figure it out......

    So I believe I found the source of how water was getting in. I think water was getting in through the seam below.
    20210619_150520~2.jpg

    I lifted each corner of the cap using a bottle jack and placed some more butly tape along the full length of it.

    I did both sides and then spray the snot out of it with my hose. Doesn't appear to be letting any water in now. But we won't be getting at rain for a while, or so says the forecast.
