To preface my rear 3 link build, I was burned by Rock Solid Toys. Wyatt Scott is a douche, simply said. Since I paid Wyatt in cash last September, nothing came from him. I'm not the only one involved but that's another story, which is viewable on TW, BEWARE, RST.

What I have coming is a rear 3 link kit from 4WU.
I have the FOX 12" CO's minus upper & lower coil springs.
I will complete the transition myself and have friends that may chime in to assist if needed.
The kit should arrive next week while I'm on vacation, so I'm bummed about not starting when his kit arrives.

This will be fully documented and Brian will be available via phone for answers to my questions if needed.

    More to follow.

I failed to mention that my front SAC 3 link is also 4WU.
I put that build in the 'solid axle swap' forum here and had views but I feel the info wasn't shared as it should be. A ton of info there.
I will document all of this transition as again, this will be a prototype for 4WU in regards to the 1st gen Tacoma.
I will say that, after dialing in, the front works insanely well.

Some parts arrived for the rear 3 link.
Need lower & upper link brackets for the axle and both pan hard brackets.
    Stoked to get on this.

This is great man! I'm officially envious :D.

Gonna be awesome having links/coilovers front and rear.

Make sure to get good sway bars because now you will certainly need them!

    Look forward to updates.

I may need to look into a rear sway bar... we'll see.
There simply isn't any room for one in the front but, it really doesn't need one with the rear being on leafs.

If the geometry is correct for the front and rear 3 link, there's no need for a sway bar. There's a couple of local 3 link front and rear tacoma in town that drives nice and straight without sway bar.

There's a bunch of variables for sure. Some guys run slightly stiffer springs and skip the sway bars. There's so much one can compromise before the body roll becomes uncomfortable - or scary - both on/off road. And everybody has different comfort levels with that.

For a rig that sees tons of of highway use like the OP's, I would certainly consider custom sway bars...at least even one.

I have a very soft/flexy 3-link in the front, leaf springs rear, no sway bar. It works great both on/off road without a sway bar. The leaf springs are stiffer than the coilovers in the front, and that helps a lot with body roll. But if I ever link the rear, I will need sway bars for sure in my application.

Agree. One person comfort level with body roll will definitely be different to someone who drives a pavement princess.
