Grabbed one of these with some gift cards we had kicking around (65). We pre-cooled on our way out the door, so only for two or three hours before getting to the store to buy food. We only opened the cooler a few times a day to grab beer or for breakfast/dinner. I think we did two bags of crushed and one block. We attempted to keep it in the shade of our rig as best we could. We had ice on the way home, 4 days later and then left it in our living room and still had ice 3 days after that. We obviously didn't open it once we brought it inside and we keep the house around 70 degrees. But we're really happy with our cooler and sure beats the one we'd be using for the past several years that we saved from the middle of the highway somewhere in Oregon.

    Just the basics
I believe it fits inside the threaded drain plug. Mine has come out several times.
In other news...just ordered a seafoam green softpack 20. There was a 25% sale from FB. Sale code is FB25 which may or may not work still.

Have a 45, would frozen foods be good for a 5 hour drive just packed with ice?

I'd say so, yes. Especially if you prechill the cooler.

If you don't open it, I would almost bet you would be fine without ice.

FYI there is a coupon code “FB25” going on right now for 25% off. Confirmed it works. Don’t know how long it will be going on for.

Just bought a Yeti 45 at REI for twice the price :annoyed::facepalm:

As long as it is within the year it's fine by REI? I got it maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Problem is that on the RTIC site you input the FB25 and it does NOT show up before you hit the "order" tab.

I use some cereal box size Tupperware like containers and make ice blocks in them. Then when camping, I can dump off some water and fill back up with ice. This keeps stuff cold and dry.

Has anyone seen replacement zipper handles for the soft side coolers? Mine broke two weeks ago and my FIL broke his last weekend. Both in the exact same way.
