Yeah they do weigh a ton, a buddy has the 150 quart pelican, weighs 80+ lbs empty, once it's filled it's not moving.

Yeah... place it where you want it then fill. It's not a "carry down to the beach" cooler. Mine stays in the back of my truck when full.

This needs to be taken into serious consideration.

Some places I go have bear boxes that the forest service requires you put all food/coolers/etc.

Received my 65 and 30oz tumblers Monday. I just seen they lowered the price of the 65 to 139.99. I purchased at 169.99 less than a week ago. messaged them to ask if they would price match or even offset the 30 dollars with two 10oz tumblers. Nope. kinda sucks as I seen the lower price as I was recommending someone else to purchase the cooler.

Seriously. I thought about buying the RTIC 45 when I got an alert that it dropped in price. But I can't justify spending that much money on a cooler. I can buy a decent Coleman for a fraction of that which for my needs, is more than enough. And if it breaks... I can buy a few more and still be under the cost of an RTIC with only a 30 day warranty.

The 65 does fit in the bed of our trucks, must say this is a nice cooler for the money.

I must say the non existent packaging was a surprise, going to get some dings when they just throw it in a box with no packing material besides a plastic bag.

I have the soft 20 or whatever it's called. I use it for lunch and keep it in my car all day. It's way too big and bulky for a regular lunch box but does it's job. And you have to lube the zipper like weekly.

    secret stuff.
I shit canned the idea of a Pelican which is the top of the heap, but unless you have a topper or aren't paying attention to the dimensions- they are all too tall to fit in a bed with a tonneau. Focused on RTIC, and shit canned that after a buddy lent me a Yeti Tundra 45 for a camping trip that barely held ice longer than my Coleman and was 3x as heavy. It saved me $2 worth of ice for the extra $350 it cost- nah, no, hell no.
Then I looked at the new RTIC repop of the Yeti Flipper, I got the RTIC SoftPak 30. Killer cooler, waterproof zipper, and light as hell that keeps ice plenty frozen for a 3 day weekend. Good enough for me. If I was fishing out to the Gulf Stream and back over 4 days or hunting moose for a week, than I'd consider the rotomolded stuff that would stay on a boat or a camp lodge and not move...
