So I have one of @skygear RTMR boxes installed in my 3rd gen 4runner:

@skygear did us the favor of putting together the wiring of the box, relays, and switchbacks to where all I have to do is splice the power of my accesory to the power lead from the box and install my OTTRATW switch:

As you can see, I already have the OTTRATW switch and no longer need the supplied switches from ARB nor their relay and wiring harness since all of that is covered with the RTMR.

    So my question is:

Has anyone been able to wire their ARB compressor and locker to the RTMR?

If so, what wiring did you run where? LOL

I see three things in the below schematic that I have to wire:

    Pressure switch, compressor and solenoids.

    ARB wiring schematic:

I figured the power motor for the compressor would be me just connecting the power lead from the circuit the compressor is going to be at.

But I have the pressure switch and solenoids..does anyone have any ideas on how I could tackle the remaining wiring??

I am either someone has done this by now, or this will need to happen soon on someone's install..

@Iggy. so there is no relayed circuit for the compressor?

I see you connected the compressor to no relay..

but you did to the locker

You need to use the relay supplied by ARB, it's included in the wire harness that connects to the compressor. The RTMR relays are too small for the compressor, but you need a rely for the lockers.

You connect the compressor directly from the dash switch because it goes to a relay. No need to go to the RTMR relay then to the ARB relay.

Dark Green is the same as locker 1, but it's for locker 2.

The black wire is not needed since that's to supply ground to the switches.

You can hook it up now to another relay on the RTMR, then all you have to do is add the switch and wire to the RTMR later.

This is my wiring diagram I used.

@Iggy. recommended for me to use the ARB relay which is rated at 40 amps.

Upon research, I found out the amp draw on the compressor that I had was 22 amps, so the 30 amp relays on the RTMR work well.

Maybe the wiring harness applies to all ARB compressors, making the largest, the twin compressor require a 40 amp relay?

As you can see, I cut the plugs off the ARB wiring harness and just used those in my own harness :)

    Looks way more streamlined!

I'd double check two things. If the compressor pulls 22amps running how much does it pull peak on startup? Electric motors sometimes jump when they are started up. Hopefully that peak isn't more than 30.

Second I noticed you are going from the RTMR to the pressure switch them to the compressor motor. ARB has the on/off switch sending power to the pressure switch then the pressure switch triggers the relay that supplies power the compressor motor. That leads me to believe that the pressure switch may not be rated for the compressor motor amps.

So how did this work out in the long run using a relay from the RTMR? did you use 10 gauge TXL wire for it or just 12 Gauge GXL wire... Im about to do the same thing, I just dont want a crap load of accessory wires/relays under my hood.

How long of a run? 10ga is what comes with the compressor.
