I put my RTT (Smittybuilt 2783) so the ladder is on the passenger side. Started to rethink my logic and decided to throw it out to you knuckleheads.

Mine is not installed yet but mine will go on the passenger side as well as that is where my Yakima Slim Shady Awning is

And I'll probably put a Slim Shady on the other side as well.

Whichever side you put it on, it'll still be on the wrong side sometimes. I open to the driver side because I'm lazy and that's closer.

Passenger side. This way if you have to stop on the side of a trail the tent wont open to the road.

Same reason for me... only reason it sucks is because RCI's maxtrax mounts aren't the best design so that means the heavy side of my tent and the maxtrax all have to be on the already heavy driver side.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Driver side.

Why? I have no idea. Just seemed to be a good idea at the time. Just put it on, not too long ago. Haven't used it yet. If I don't like it, I'll change it.
