When I bought my truck, it had 108,000 miles. now it has 111,000. According to the history of the Toyota dealer where it used to be served in Massachusetts, front shocks and springs were never replaced. I'm about to put in OME 885's and 5100's on it. do I have to replace the rubber spacer at the top of the spring, or can I re-use the same one? that also goes for the rubber sleeves on the springs. Also, is there anything else I should replace or check while I'm at it?
Thanks to all of you who will respond.

Are you talking about the stock rubber piece that's the same width as the coil?
Generally - you can re-use it, if its still in good condition. It's a bushing......

If you're talking about the rubber on the strut shaft - they should be included with the strut when you buy them new.

The rubber spacer... Mine's original and I left it there through two spring replacements. The spring sleeves? You mean the plastic/rubber coating on the springs? That comes on the springs.

yes, the bushing on top of the spring. about the sleeves, I figured there are there for a reason(noise dampening perhaps?), so I would like to remove them from the stock spring and put it on the 885. K so I gues I can re-use the same ones.
