I have spent $1,000 trying to get my truck aligned.

Can anyone help me with adjusting caster in the Sacramento area? Or, can anyone refer me to a shop that will actually take their time to do an offroad alignment?

    1st Gen 2001 AC taco
    SPC Upper control arms
    OME lift
    SCS F5 16x8 -25 mm 6x139.7
    Toyo Open Country RT 285 75 r16 (33 inch)

Here is the story with more details.

I bought the 2001 and did the OME set and installed the wheels and tires at the same time. I knew there would be rubbing without an alignment as there was a slight driver's side rub on the "stock" setup. I tried to go to a local offroad shop but they said they send all their alignments to a local Big O.

I went to Big O. They got the alignment into factory range, but the front tires rubbed on both sides. I took it home, did some massaging (including the pinch weld), and got it into a good spot where only the driver's front rubbed.

Took it to Stellar Built. Dropped the truck off at 7:00 am on a weekday, their request, and left. Came back at the end of the day, only to be told they couldn't do alignment work because the lower control arm bushings needed to be replaced. I paid them $150, the price they charge for alignments, and was told to bring it back when I got it ready for them.

I bought the parts and brought it back to Stellar Built, asking them to replace the LCA bushings and align the truck. After being told that most people buy aftermarket lower control arms, I left. I got the truck back at the end of the day with nothing but positivity from the folks at Stellar Built. I paid them around $850 for the labor and thought I was ready to go.

While driving home, I noticed there was rub on the driver's side when I turned sharply left, after investigating, it rubs really bad when reversing and turning or when at more than close to full left hand down lock.

The outer edge of the driver's side Toyo RT has been chewed into pretty good and the pounded pinch weld has some paint wear. This is only with pavement driving around town.

Here's the thing, no shop ever touched the SPC control arms. At every alignment I gave them the instructions from the UCAs, made them abundantly clear that they were installed, and asked them to adjust the UCAs to avoid rub. The bolts were as clean as they were after I installed them. Also, the caster didnt change after Big O did their thing.

I've spent probably around a thousand dollars now trying to get this aligned and I think I only need to add some positive caster as it is rubbing on the pinch weld. It is at 3.0 now, and with the SPC adjustments it should be able to go to 4.

Is there anything I am not considering here?
Is pushing caster out to 4 going to be a bad thing?
Do I need to do way more hammering?

p.s. I'm not even over 200 pounds so that's not the problem either.

Tires that big will need custom LCA and UCA to run them without rubbing. Stock specs are not your friend in your setup. You need to find a 4x4 offroad shop. Schaffers is one that could help.

Yes, Shaffer's will sort you out. Mike has been at this game for a while. If you call next week, they may be out. I know Mike is in Baja right now.

I bet radial tire could help you too. It’s in Sacramento off cottage and Fulton. If you don’t want to go to far
