Ok. So I got a problem. I bought some bfg all terrain 265 75 16 with some 16x8 procomp 87 series rims. I do not have a lift, but from what I heard and read on forums it doesnt rub too much and will not affect ride too much. So I installed them at work. As soon as I backed up from stall and turned steering wheel is when I heard tire messing up my plastic inner fender liner. I took off fender liner thinking that was problem, to see that the weld sticking out was rubbing against tire. I did not want to risk messing up brand new tires, so I took them off. Has anyone with 1st gen tacoma came across this problem? I will and now have to get lift, but money is issue right now. I was thinking about laser cutting a portion of that weld off and see how it works any thoughts from anyone will be appreciated.

ive got the same size in toyo AT and mine arent even close to rubbing but my rims are 15 dumb question but the rim doesnt affect the tire size does it? but if you have to get a lift then for now get levelin spacers until you can get some bilsteins

I don't think the rim has anything to do with problem. The tires are soo beefy that it touches pinch weld. I would get spacers, but i'm the type that hates doing a job twice. I may have to though because the tires I have now are in pretty bad shape. I also may look into cutting some of the pinch weld off.
