I know there's threads about it but I'm no good at searching for threads so bare with me here.

I put 265/75/16 KO2's on my truck last week and I continue to rub. I trimmed my wheel well down a little. The rubbing stops and somewhere during my day my tire manages to reach the plastic. So I trim more. And this happens over and over.

However, I do have Bilstein 5100 adjustables in the front. I have another 1.25 inches to go but my truck is level atm and I don't want to bulldog. Is 1.25 really gonna make the appearance change that much?

that does seem odd unless the suspension is really worn, but it sounds like you already have the 5100s set at .75 so theoretically should be a little above stock. check everywhere inside the wheel well for the rub marks, that may be your best bet to solving it. if it's just on the frame then not much you can do. :notsure:

edit: on a side note I just left the Orlando area on Friday, went from 80s to 40s... meh

I know where it's rubbing and I already trimmed it. But every time I trim it it stops for a day and comes back

That is the pinch weld folks are referring to. Take a big hammer to it and pound it flat. Or a grind it down.

Here is a pic of what mine looks like after massaging the pinch weld.

Same exact issue with mine. Kept trimming, beat the pinch weld in, and still rubbing on the metal on passenger side. Especially with a passenger inside. I even beat the shit out of it with a sledge trying to push it in a little. Probly the driver side more than other. So gonna try it a lil more when I have time. But my suspension is getting pretty worn. And I had a slight wreck on passenger side that ended up pushing the wheel in and messing up the cam tabs. Which have been replaced with reinforced ones. But I fear that the passenger side may be a tad out of whack because of that. Not sure. But the rubbing is pretty annoying, not to mention embarrassing when backing out of a parking spot, heh.

worn springs will keep it hitting as well. usually 32s (265/75) you don't have to do the pinch weld. I have 255/75-17 and haven't had to touch anything. but I have the OME lift so that helps keep the body up :D

I don't even know what's behind that pinch weld, it felt like it was pretty dang solid after I beat it in best I could so I stopped. Feels like frame back there.. guess I could try grinding it down. Idk, I'll beat it some more and see. Otherwise I'll just deal with it until I get my whole new lift.

I think that's right in front of the foot rest/spot and might be some structural behind that for the pedals and dash?

Hm. Yeah it's probably my suspension sagging though. Because it didn't use to rub as bad unless I aired down. Now it rubs all the damned time. I'm just hoping that I retain my lift height with the new kit, as well as eliminating the rub. (Replacing a spacer/block lift.)

Anywho, looks like the op should be good beating down that pinch weld. Mine was rubbing all over on the lower point of fender flare, as well as the plastic lining and the pinch weld. Ha. That was after I upgraded from 32's to 33's. Made that much of an issue I guess just one size up because it didn't rub at all before.

Oh yeah, it worked just fine. Tested it on some bumps while turning as well. Eliminated it. Although I chipped plenty of paint while beating that metal aha
