Rubbing issues

Alright... my current setup is 3in toytec lift with 285/75/17 toyo open country's M/T... i rub on my frame... is there anyway to get around that instead of grinding off the frame? like spacers? you guys think spacers would work?

 

where exactly you rubbing the frame? is it the cab mount? do not get spacers it will make rubbing worse. Pics of area? what offset are your wheels?

the following is from Toyotire.com and is the reason your rubbing bad. The 285/75/17 is actually a 34" tall tire.

 

do you think spacers will solve that problem?

 

Wish we could get that tyre size in Australia, they wont bring it on....nice tyre size.

yep, trim the mount to alleviate your rubbing issues.

 

Also did you get an alignment and get the Caster dialed in? If not, your wheels might be back in the wheel well and cause more rubbing. Spacers will require you to cut the Cab Mount. I did mine and I'm happy w/ the clearance.

 

spacers will only make it worse. It you set the tire out further, when you turn the wheel, the outer sidewall will be closer to the body mount.

 

1" BL, smaller tires, cut/trim or coilovers.
