    Hey all,

My name is Ruben and I'm from South Texas. My previous vehicle was a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport which i only had for 18 months due to some reliability issues and on pavement driving issues. Anyways,

Here is my Truck the day I took her home on Feb 20, 2020.

    IMG_2426.jpg

My goal for my truck is obviously a daily driver first but also we like to go to State Parks, Camp, do scenic drives and Off-Road Trails. So my build will reflect a lot of that as a guide.

One of the first Mods I always make to my vehicles is upgrading the Factory Speakers. Usually I like to upgrade the Head Units as well but with these modern vehicles I usually just try to keep the Factory HU and add amps and speakers. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the Upgrade of the Tweeters ALONE. It was a huge improvement. I went with KICKER Speakers all around as that what was recommended on the forums here. Very impressive sound. The Subwoofer while an 8" is very clean sounding and really sounds well in the CAB. Not too boomy.

    Hardware used:

Tweeters: Genuine Subaru H631SFJ101 Tweeter Kit
    Door 6x9's: Kicker 46CSC6934 3-way 6x9 Speakers
Subwoofer Amp: Kicker 46CXA4001 Car Audio 800W Mono Amp
    Subwoofer: JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3
    AmpKIT of your Choice

Here you can see just how crappy the Factory Tweeter and 6x9's are. Get a load of the Magnet on the 6x9's LOL.

One of my next most needed mods as we like to ride bikes and frequent the beach was to add onboard air for filling up bicycle tires and airing up our tires after airing down.

I decided to utilized the empty battery space on the passenger side. I welded up a bracket to work with that location.

To be able to add the Quick NPT Air and Pressure Regulator you need one of these Tee Fittings: Parker Hannifin Brass Tee Fitting

    IMG_2521.jpg

    IMG_2804.jpg

The Switch Location was in the factory empty spot where the other switches are. I did have to do some DREMELING to file down some of the plastic to fit.

The Next thing I've done was add the Black Tailgate Letters. These are not just decals. They are made of a metal so have some strength to them. Its pretty straight forward.

My UpTop Overland Bed Rack finally came in last week. I was able to get it installed in about 2 hours. All in all I have to say this bed rack is impressive. Its made of aluminum so its light and very sturdy once its all squared together. I won't go into details of the install as theres plenty out there or you can visit my BLOG in my signature to see more.

After installing the Bed Rack, I tackled the roof rack the next day.

    Parts Spread Out:

    IMG_2902.jpg

This was easy, basically just bolt up the load bars to the side panels.

    IMG_2904.jpg

The Rack mounts to the factory holes under the rubber molding like any other rack.

They have 3M tape on the back. You basically just peel them off the back and stick to the tailgate.

Can you run the door kickers stereo without the amp? Is it also a plug in play like the tweeters?

Yes. I only have an amp on sub. You do need these for plug and play of 6x9’s. https://amzn.to/3fMYGMZ

Finally got around to doing my next round of mods.

    IMG_3215.jpg

This is the Baja Designs Rock Light Kit. You use them to add the lights to the side of the UpTop Overland Roof Rack using their own mounting brackets made by Meso-Customs:

    IMG_3217.jpg

The cutouts are already pre-cut on the UpTop rack. You just have to cut a few tabs and can pop them off.

    IMG_3226.jpg

    IMG_3228.jpg

All wired up and looking great!!

With the cans on the side of the rack, would you be able to install a rooftop tent on the top of that rack? I like that the top brace of the rack is lower than the cab height.
