Place used to be my second home, ahha. NOthing but drunk people and dipshits though, so you gotta watch yourself. Especially at night.

If you guys are planning on spending the night, Spider Lake is a great spot.

Nightwheeling isn't too bad as long as you have flash lights/rock lights.

but that's when other people are finishing their 30 packs and think it's a great idea to go hit the sluice box

Not to mention A LOT of trust between the driver and the spotter.

    oh yeah..

it's one thing to go out and play on the river or on some just trails..but running any form of like an actual trail..con, ford, slickrock, bald mountain, etc..then you gotta be careful.

That's half the fun though. Sucks risking a truck you care about, but if you go through cleanly, means you got some talent behind the wheel haha.

Another really good trail is Barrett Lake, ever been?

that is very true, but if you choose your lines careful and listen to ur spotter and take every thing nice and slow you can do the con no problem with ifs i would think. i got a rear locker and full belly pan, all i need is some spare CVs and parts and a diff skid from BAMF lol

ps: flat body panels are for pussies

Yeah, that's why I mentioned re-gearing earlier. I would let my inline 6 carry my Wrangler at an idle, but since it was geared at 3.07, I still had to keep my foot on the breaks. If I didn't, I was smashing my shit. I think IFS will be able to do alright... just gotta pick the smartest line. But good call with the CV's.

My buddy has a really nice 87 Yota, but he drives like a dick. Got his pumpkin stuck on a rock that was about 18 inches out of the ground. Only rock on the trail at the spot where we were. Had to drag his dumbass of it. Not to mention he broke his hub, axle shaft, and his birf's.... all at different spots on the trail. Luckily for him, he could compensate for his bad driving with the ability of being able to fix everything he broke. haha.

"Barrett Lake Jeep Trail lies in the Sierra Nevada near the famous Rubicon Trail. The Barrett Lake Trailhead is located at Dark Lake just North of Wrights Lake and 8 miles north of Highway 50. The Barrett Lake Jeep Trail is rated by some to be tougher than the Rubicon because there are no bypasses or alternate routes around tougher sections of trail. The trail is a dead-end, so you leave the way you came in and it is about 6 miles long."

    http://www.utvguide.net/trip_report_barrett_lake_2007.htm

    One of my favorite trails.
