You need to buy a R&P master install kit that has shims and everything.

I thought Pauls brother did it or something. I know the last time I talked to him he was thinking about trying it.

    I could be wrong

You ought to come to the hot springs camping trip sep 2-4

    IIRC Paul did it himself.

I'll see. I may be heading down to SD that Saturday. I do want to hit those up though. I've never been.

When do you plan to do the gears? Let me know if you need help.

I've done it with my brother a number of times and on my own once. It has been years but as long as you take your time and don't lie to yourself about the patterns, you would be able to do it! Let me know when you plan to do it. :D

My only question is how do you preload the third to get a proper pattern and how do you hold the pinion to put 250ft/lbs on the pinion nut???

Saw a nice "dig" in the cheesy ass tcase "skid" so i decided to make a tcase skid out of some 3/16" plate

    Total cost $40

The last picture shows it flexing but all 4 wheels off the ground balanced on the skid

lack of equipment makes it challenging at times...

if only i had a shear/brake, pipe bender, plasma cutter, cold saw, etc...

using flux core its not pretty but my shit is strong!

my sliders have taken more abuse than any round tube style that ive seen

You can make a tool like a breaker bar... My brother had more tools than JD :D - But now I would just fab something that bolts on to the flange.

Here's what the Factory Service Manual shows... Look on page DF30

In the rear... But the trac works in 4lo so it's like LSD front, locked rear. And since it's locked in the rear all the braking goes to one wheel up front with trac rather than 2 so it works awesome. way better than before.

Still waiting for my ato skid... That's next.

oh yea so ATO skid is on, fit kinda sucked... IDK why... rear holes were off by about 1/4" i had to modify the mounts...

probably my fault so i cant dis ato because the skid is seriously beefy!!!

may have tweaked my xmember a bit before i got the skid. anyway, it doesnt matter, i modified it and its on now...

so yea, im armored, locked (in the rear) lifted, so i guess rubicon, summer, 2012 im ready...

by then ill try to regear and maybe get arbs f/r with 33s or 34s

wow 2 years in the making.... and id attempt the trail as is...

This truck is a work truck - not a lot of fancy mod's here, but it's getting the job done!
Maybe I missed it, but where is this?

I had the same skid issue on my 2011, had to drill the hole out bigger to fit. But they have saved my bacon a couple times for sure!
