This may be a long shot, bur here it goes anyway:

I'm taking some vacation in may and would like to finally (FINALLY!) do the rubicon trail. Having never done it and hearing all the horror stories about what it CAN do to a vehicle, I think I'd rather have company than not, just in case. I'm not making big plans here just possibly a couple people or so if we could all swing the dates, so we all go and have a buddy :)

I'm trying to do the 16-20th but anything prior to the 23rd is ok if we have to play with the start/end times to make it work.

I have a 1st gen fairly well equipped, nothing over the top no SAS or anything, you're welcOme to check me out. If it sounds interesting please reply let's see if we can't do the buddy thing! Yay off road buddies!

Plan on it being sloppy, still quite a bit of snow on the Tahoe side.

    And post pics!

Dag! I knew it'd be a long shot. Anyone else interested? I'll give you a cookie?

I need someone to hold the camera at least :)

I'll probably be doing it around September with a few friends/guys on here. Definitely going to be an epic run, been dying to do it for years now and finally almost have my truck ready to go.

Have you checked the snow conditions? I believe the Rubicon has received record snow fall this year and I doubt it will be passable in May.

Bring spare parts. There WILL be a mechanical failure while you're out there, and if you don't have spare parts and the tools to perform the repair, you're a special kind of fucked.
