It all depends on your use of the rifle. The experts say anything over 16 inch is a waste, IMO a 18-20 inch "balances" better. Best I recall, 1 in 16 is the best twist rate for a .22lr. The sky is the limit as far as barrels go, but not up on the "green river" brand, did you mean Green Mountain by chance. Again, I think them or MidwayUSA's Adams & Bennett are the best "value" tubes out there. I still have one, but I've got over the the fat overweight barrels, I've got sporter profiles that shoot every bit as well, with ease of carry options. Again, depends on your usage.

Ordered an extractor, plunger, and spring direct from Ruger tonight. They all mysteriously disappeared out of my bolt? I was shooting it a bunch and then it just stopped extracting. Popped the bolt out and no extractor!

2$ a piece and 6$ shipping, not too shabby! A lot better than what I was going to drop anywhere else, and they had it all in stock.

I have a Harris, tough as nails. If the Blaster stock has a sling swivel on it, any Harris will mount right up. But, I don't "think" that stocks gonna have one (swivel) on it from the factory. Any half-assed gun store/shop should have them, just drill a hole, slightly smaller than the screw, dead center of your forearm, around two inches from the tip. Sometimes, the stud won't bottom out just right, you may have to back it out, put a drop or two of epoxy and snug it to thr correct position, let cure, have fun.

The stock ones lasted about 9 years and I couldn't tell you how many rounds! :D

We'll see if they're as good as the parts that came with it when I was ten.

edit: ps I'm not 19 fwiw

Sadly, no. Nothing is as good as it "used" to be. Most stuff made today is total crap. I don't care WHERE it's made. Example: plastic trigger groups/barrel bands in newer 10/22s.

I have the small one, BR I think it is, good for bench and that's about it.

Yeah, it's likely cast alloy. But the newer stuff (couple of years now) are nylon/plastic on the trigger group and barrel bands. They claim to hold up well, I'd rather gave metal.
