I'm going to pop some rounds through it tonight. I kinda like the idea of a DIY hammer mod. Anything that I can do on my own is better. I'm definitely doing the bolt release mod myself.

Nice dude enjoy the fun safe shooting, fun rifle for sure with zero recoil, I personally love the feel of a hogue stock on a 10/22 as well, can find nice used cheap deals on ebay sometimes.

Kidd hands down the best, but you'll pay. The best bang for your buck is a guy over on Rimfirecentral.com that goes by Brimstone. For around $50.00 you'll have a top notch trigger. You will have to send yours in to be worked, turnaround is very prompt. Search that name and read all the praise bestowed upon him.

So far I have the following on order for the 10/22:

    - KIDD bolt buffer
    - Volquartsen extractor
    - Extended magazine release
    - Aluminum target trigger with overtravel adjustment screw
    - 3 pack of extra mag's
    - Leapers UTG Bug Buster 3x9 scope

I'm going to file the hammer for a 2 pound trigger pull, and mod the bolt release so it's actually useable.

Do a quick youtube search for "10/22 auto bolt release mod". There's a million DIY videos for it.

It takes about 20 minutes and all you need is a small round file.

It eliminates having to press that annoyingly tiny little bolt release, so you can release it just like this:

Nice ya i was just google in it lol

ya having to do that every time the clip is empty is rather annoying i'm use to my bolts staying open upon last round fired!

edit -- ahh i see this is to feed not to hold back while empty

    Here's mine....

TacSol threaded barrel, Hogue Stock (thinking of selling to go with Magpul) and Timney Trigger assembly are the main mods. I think a sweet 10/22 take down is next on my list, then I want to build a more traditional wood stock tack driver.

Since you are a fellow NYer check out this option for your 3 pack of extra mags. I have one and really enjoy it.

Nice, but I like a bit more magnification on a bench/target rifle. Midway USA had (not certain they still do) Weaver V-24s on a blow out sale of less than $200.00. They usually go for around $400.00. I can't wait to see your build. What stock are you going with?

Your build is going to be awesome. I'm still looking for a reciever/trigger group, just a beater (I'll Ceracoat) for a factory walnut stocked carbine (numbers indicate a 73') build. I've done a few .920s but I'm kinda into sporter tubed guns lately.
