2 1/2 more hours... have all the accessories out on the table ready to go on. Got my boyd's evolution stock in yesterday and polished it up to a really nice shine.

Well folks ... here she is. Picked up my Ruger 10/22 Target edition today. Tore it apart for the initial cleaning and installed an auto bolt release, Extended mag release, KID Bolt handle assembly, Vortex Crossfire 2-7x32 scope, and of course the Boyd's Evolution Stock.

Got it broken in today. Here is my best 10 shot group.

Crappy remington golden bullet bulk, 7x on the Vortex Crossfire, at 50 yards.

Not bad for a new gun with a beginner. (gotta love the Zombie targets! :D)

I got to shoot Seth's new gun this morning. What a cool 10/22. Fun to shoot and pretty accurate. Seth is a better shot then me for sure, but I managed to put a few together. The bull barel makes a huge difference in accuracy. He also helped me sight in my stock platinum looking stock 10/22 and it shoots way better now.

He is going to help me upgrade mine a little at a time since I know nothing about how to do it. But I will learn. Thanks for a nice shoot this morning Seth. We should do it again soon. Rick

OP, great looking rig, know you must be proud. Now try every type/brand of ammo you can get your hands on, it will like one better than the rest, prolly cutting that group into fourths. Don't get me wrong, the posted one was nice, but your set-up will do better. A bud of mine has the same barrel as you, his seems to like CCI green tags best, with CCI standard velocity close behind.

Check out www.rimfirecentral.com, if you need to know anything about 10/22's. I have 30+ 22's and the Ruger 10/22 is by far the one that gets shot the most.

Thanks I will continue to try others. I'm pretty new to shooting too. Only shot at the range a few times.

Yep, once you start, you can't stop, buying/modding 10/22s. I have five now, the four in the pic at the start of this thread, one box stock.

I hear the CZ 452/455 is the one to have.

CZ's are great guns and I plan on getting one, but nothing compares the the things that can be done to a 10/22. You can leave it stock or change out everything on it to make look anyway way you want. And if you can find an older one at a pawn shop is even better to MOD because all you need is the reciever. All the work can be done with standard tools.

the small target under the Stainless 10/22T was shot at 50yds with a 1971 10/22 carbine that is in one of my earlier post.

CZ makes some great guns, a Remington 541, or a 40X are sweet as they come. Anchutz stuff is NICE, even the Ruger 77/22 is a nice bolt gun, don't forget Kimber 82s, Wiinchester 54s, it just depends on how deep your pockets are and your intentions with the rifle.

I did swapped to an auto bolt release last night. Comparing them side to side I could have easily done this in about 2 mins with a dremmel saving 6 bucks.

The top one is the new auto release, the bottom one is stock. I figure you could just dremmel out that little notch on the bottom hole to make it smooth like the other one.
