Not at more, when I tour it down I was cleaning it as well but there were some decent carbon build ups that needing some massaging to say the least. It wasn't doing burst consistently but happened more than once and was shocking to say the least. Since its been cleaned it feels better but gonna get another extractor before is shot again.

I don't think it was ever cleaned honestly but missing parts from a bolt was completely new to me and didn't think that was normal

It’s pretty common in the magnums. The main reason Ruger stopped making them. I’m guessing you’ll need all three pieces, extractor, plunger and spring. I can’t imagine actually finding any part in blow out. You’re kinda lucky, lots of times they blow the magazine up and out the bottom of the gun.

Is this the plunger? Cuz that is the only part I found after the out of battery...

Here is the casing as well

I know it's not a magnum but assuming that this is still fully possible to happen in older rifles?

Edit: just checked and it was built in 1981 with a fixed 4x15 glenfield scope

Yep, can’t believe you found that! Have you cleaned the chamber? If so, remove the magazine, lock the bolt back, carefully take a loaded shell and drop it into the chamber, don’t push or force it. It should slide completely in under its own weight. Classic blowout, again it could have been worse. I never shoot anymore without safety glasses.

Also check the barrel to see if the round actually did exit the barrel and is not lodged in the barrel. Do not fire another round until you check this!

Got out and sent a few rounds down range today. My buddy must be shitting money these days. He broke out two more new high end rifles. Kidd super grade, with a tuner in a Victor Titan stock, Weaver T36 glass. The other was a Feddersens bronze receiver, 24" Shilen 4 groove ratchet barrel, all Kidd goodies including a two stage 3oz trigger in a custom benchrest stock topped with a Mueller 40x ultra thin cross haired scope, with a tuner as well.

Shot a few different types of SK through both with some pretty decent groups at 50yds. 10 shot groups.

I carried only two sporters, just to make sure they were still on for a tree rat hunt next week.

This happened recently, I have wanted a Supergrade for years and finally purchased one. I love the rifle just wish it still came bedded in the Mcmillian hunter stock. I have had it out once and it shot under .5 at 50y with Eley target.

No doubt Cz's shoot well and are a great value. But it's much more hit or miss on out of box accuracy nowadays, And sure they can be made to shoot better than a kidd but most won't. ;)
