No.... HM2... HMR is basically a .22 Mag with a ballistic tipped bullet, where as the HM2 is a .22LR with a ballistic tipped bullet.

That's a good looking group. What kind of ammo were you using? Try as many as you can get your hands on, it'll like one better than all the rest. What do the groups look like at 50yds?

I am looking to switch out the stock sights in my 10/22.
I don't want to use a scope, since I plan on shooting competitions with it and want to stay in the limited bracket.

Here are a few choices I've seen.:
    Fire Sight Set: (~$20)

    Peep Set: (~$50)

    Adjustable steel set: (~$80)

Anybody use any of the above and have some feedback?
    Something different?

Tech Sights TSR200 is the way to go.

I had a 10/22. By far the one of the best auto rimfires.

First thing I changed was the stock.
The Hogue Overmolded ones are AMAZING. I use grips in the same material for my AR's.

I also had a shooter's ridge fluted barrel.

And as far as glass, I used a Burris Optics that I got from my uncle. I think it was a Fullfield II.

Pretty fun gun to shoot. Freaking tackdriver too.

My 10/22 that I've had for at least 6-7 years.

Bell and Carlson stock, Green Mtn barrel, cheap-crazy power-scope(32x iirc). Only mod I might make in the future is a trigger pack, though I'm quite used to the factory trigger.

I'm in the market for a .22 and all your pictures look pretty damn nice. I already have a ruger 357 that I really like so maybe I'll go this route for brand loyalty.

How much do you guys spend on yours? Base price and total cost of mods?

    Thanks in advance!

Hurts when you add it up!

Prices were pulled from gunbroker so you may find better deals or have to pay shipping/tax.

    My rifle posted above:

    Stainless/synthetic stock 10/22 $240
    Green Mountain barrel $120
    Bell & Carlson stock $200
    BSA 8-32x scope $200
    _______________________________
    $760

    Mount & Rings $25
    Sling $25
    Uncle Mike's swivels $10
    Butler Creek Caps $30
    _______________________________
    $90
    ($850)

Then you want extra magazines? A case, bipod, or a suppressor? :D

Update on mine- I purchased a new Nikon Prostaff 4x 32 power scope. I mounted it last night with Leupold Rifleman mid height rings. This morning, I got a Volquartsen extractor and spring that I will install tonight. I am also going to polish some of the mechanism pieces. There is a good write up on how to do it on rimfirecentral.com. I will post some pictures up as soon as I get it all back together.

Academy has the best prices on 10/22. you can get the base model (wood stock with blued reciever and barrel) for $189. Wal mart has the same gun but with a stainless barrel for $198.

My grandad bought me my 10/22 in 1997 and he paid dealer price @$135. that was with a blued reciever and barrel and a synthetic stock.

Green mountain barrel was like $109
    stocky's stock was around $130
    Tasco 3x9x50 scope @wal mart was $60
    Leupold Scope rings $18
    Rings base $12
    Volquartsen trigger $27
    sharp claw extractor $10
    Bolt buffer $4

I bought most stuff from here
