I can't even imagine that much of a scope on a 10/22 , then again im just used to open sights. no need for glass at the ranges i can shoot at, densely populated flatlands and all

Well, it is a second focal plane scope, so I have to find a happy medium for magnification at the distances shoot, and leave it there. I am still playing around with it to find one good set point that will do for 50 to 200 yards. All they while, searching for a comparable magnification first focal plane in a silver body, (that leaves me enough money to buy ammo).

Ah. Good luck in that endeavor, glass is so expensive, especially if you want a color other than black.
Wait your shooting 200 yds with a 10/22? that's possible accurately? I thought it retained too little energy/speed past like 100 yds to be remotely accurate (can't remember the name of that, ballistic coefficient maybe?)

It only has to break through the paper or ring the gong. It doesn't have to do it with authority. lol.
I'll let the others chime in here, but there are many guys out there doing amazing shots at 200 yards with a 22.

Mine is a first focal plane and i shoot out to 300 yards for fun no real accuracy but at 200 i can hit a 6 in steel plate pretty easily with cci sv . I also don't shoot in a range. Around here we shoot in fields and cutovers

That's super nice, love the tone. All these nice 10/22's got me thinking I might need a new stock. I'll grab a pic of mine when I get back home in a few weeks, only cool thing about it is the whole thing is hydro dipped ACU pattern.

    Not Enough.
Well haven't been here in forever, but was looking for something else on Google when I found this thread.

Since I just finished it (for now) I figured I'd stop by and show it off...

Bought this older Carbine a couple weeks ago for $150.
    IMG_20200225_212823.jpg
Got rid of the useless bits and kept the goodies...
    IMG_20200225_213314.jpg

Then proceeded to throw way too much money at it...

    Parts list for anyone interested:
    • Factory receiver
    • Factory V-Block and screws
    • Factory trigger assembly pins
    • Boyd's AT-One laminated thumbhole stock
    • Kidd 20" stainless .920 threaded barrel w/ muzzle brake
    • Ruger BX trigger assembly
    • Kidd takedown screw
    • Kidd bolt buffer
    • Kidd charging handle/spring kit
    • JWH CNC bolt
    • DNZ Reaper one piece scope mount
    • Nikon 3-9x40 Rimfire Pro Staff scope
Just put it together tonight and sat and stared at it for about an hour. I'm stoked. I had a vision when I was ordering everything, and it turned out better than I had pictured.

Hopefully hitting the range this weekend. I'm a shotgun guy at heart, and I'll definitely get a few rounds of trap in before moving over to the rifle range, but this little guy definitely has me hooked already.
