My 10/22 is stock. I also have a Ruger Model 44. Basically a 10/22, but in 44 Remington.

I don't think Ruger sells the gun with a MagPul stock, but the stocks are available aftermarket (Midway USA, Cabela's, etc.) and you can install it yourself. IIRC, there is one bolt for the receiver, and one for the barrel. Very easy to swap.

it appears they are. It is an easy swap, I just don’t need another stock laying around. I’ve been looking at the take downs for awhile, and like the magpul stock.

I bought a can of this "break free" to try and the 10/22 seems happy with it. https://www.amazon.com/Break-Free-C...GQ7KM300AVT&psc=1&refRID=VM88850JHGQ7KM300AVT
I've always used Hoppe's but this seems to do great and with no Hoppe's smell afterwards. I've been running the cheapest green 500/box remington loads and haven't had any FTFs so far. Of course I'm sure i will eventually, as cheap bulk 22 has always been kinda iffy about feeding.

    I missed that.

I know what you mean about having stocks lying around.

    Anyone need a 77/22 stock?

I've been using Break Free for a couple of decades. It is really great stuff. It's all the military used (they may have changed now, not sure.)

As a cleaner, sometimes I still use Hoppe's 9 - but always lube with Break Free.

Regarding the smell, you either love it or hate it. It's what my Dad used to clean guns, so every time I smell it, I'm flooded with good memories from long ago...

Yes, funny how a smell will take you back. My Grandfather hunted with a prized bird dog named Sally for many years back in the 60's.. Before a hunt, He cleaned/oiled his guns at the kitchen table, so Sally always knew it was huntin time when she smelled the Hoppe's. Once Sally got too old and frail to go with him anymore, she would sit by the door and whimper for hours whenever he would go hunting without her. He couldn't bear it cause he loved that dog, so he tried cleaning the gun outside away from the house. That helped a little, but she still knew when he would walk out the door with the shotgun. So he started taking the shotgun apart and carried it broken down in a brown grocery bag when he was in the house. That seemed to do the trick :)

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
Probably a long shot since this thread has been dead for a bit, but does anyone by chance have a factory 10/22 Charger stock hanging around after upgrading?

I was planning to build a Brownell's receiver with a Enoch chassis but scored a stock threaded barrel and some other parts from the pawn shop I use for an FFL and figure I might as well build it up mostly factory original for now.

Sorry but I don't have one Jeff. I know the interwebs are full of 10/22 stuff though, maybe you can find one on there.

It might be easier to pick up one from Boyd's. They are not overly expensive, and are really nice stocks.

I just got one for one of my 77/22s.

OK, so a ton of really nice 10-22's on here, some really modded to the 9's, excellent.

By contrast, here is a nice stocker, Nikon 22lr scope, just perfect out to 75 yards, synthetic stock from the factory, got it for $99 at Bass Pro. Its the 10-22 everyone should own at least one of......

And the unused Marlin Glenfield bolt action I got from Grampa.IMG_0180.jpgUGYY7056.jpgIMG_0184.jpg

I bought mine like 3 years ago, long before all the BS. Bought a Thunderbolt box of 500 22lr for $11 with the rifle, ahhh, those where the days.
And it wasn’t that long ago……

I have enough 22 ammo to be comfortable so I wait until I find a good deal. I've had pretty good luck with walmart of ll places I usually find the 325 round boxes of federal for $18 not great but not bad
