solid truck! I like the square LED's for the fog lights, Its good to see a F150 modded in the right way, not just a mall crawler

Writing off "every Ford F150", no. But when you spend 50k on a truck you expect it work and act like it. The last thing I expect is uneducated answers from a dealer, and some idiot on a Taco thread. I expect answers and fixes for the problem. Doing some basic research, you can find that thousands of F150 are having the same problems I was.

I know you wouldnt know anything about that. And I am sure you can atest to "mature" based on your profile pic. Am i saying that every F150 sucks? Of course not. You dont sell that many by EVERY truck having problems. I am saying that I trust Toyota and just figured every truck had a build like Toyota. I was wrong and I will stand by that. Will I buy another Ford, yeah maybe. But I'm busy having fun with the Taco.

Nice truck! I wish i had been able to get a full size. Is it EcoBoost, or a V8?

Just a heads up, keep an eye on your coolant. Apparently some of the V8's are losing some over time. I don't want to say it's common, but more than a few people are noticing. Ford pressure tested my whole system, it held perfectly overnight so they can't figure out where it's going. I'm sending away an oil sample for analysis to make sure it's not getting in there.

Build looks awesome. I stole your idea of the light bar behind the grille, works great!

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
another f150 convert here. Nothing against taco's. I wrecked mine and drove a little commuter car for a while and then wanted something to tow my jeep.

Everyone has there complaints and of course I was weary about buying one. I learned you gotta take most things you read on the internet with a grain of salt. People are not compelled to give praises when they are content. They are compelled to complain when they are upset. Most bad stuff with any consistency seemed to be on the 11-12 year models so that's why I went with the 13 Screw FX4. My only issue is I have the drivers door double pull issue. After a month I've just gotten used to it, not going to spend 100 bucks to fix it.

I don't see why people complain about horrible gas mileage on the ecoboost. I'm averaging 17-18 in city depending on traffic and a consistent 21.2 on highway (cruise at 70ish).

Your's makes me want to take the plunge on suspension and tires but I'm loving the economy right now. Better than my taco did haha.

do the lift man! on my 2014 5.0 reg cab 4x4 i got great mileage with 2.5 fox fronts and 2.5 rear add a leafs + a leer 180 + 33x11.5 cooper st maxx tires i avg'd 13.5 litres per 100km at about 65mph on cruise + a bunch of mellow off road over the course of 4500 miles. you'll have to convert my canadian mpg #'s to yours to see what that means.

Finally got the dual batt and the National Luna controller in(Thanks to @SoutheastOverland). Dont hate the welds, havnt done alum since I had the TIG. Done in 1/4" T6061 I had leftover from the Yota skids

    Test fit and mockup:

Reinforcements and bracing for the bracket:

    Wiring...

Only thing im not sure of is if the Luna controller in the cab is supposed to stay on all the time or not. It was still lit up with the batt levels this morning. Hmm

Where'd you pick up the aluminum? And I assume you're running a separate bottle of pure argon for that?

From BMG metals - the warehouse by the airport does the Aluminum. Yes my 2nd bottle is 100% Argon. The spool gun is much easier than tig you just gotta get the feel for it. Its like spray painting with a tiny nozzle
