I'd be happy with getting it outta the damn garage!

Once the last of the wretched tubbing shit is done, I can drive it basically worry-free. And I'm damn close!

Whoop! I wish I took my time the first time like you are. I think it will definitely save you the headaches I went through recently.

I'm wishing I had half the time and knowledge I do now when I started modding mine. I'm slowly redoing everything I did early on.

This is why I'm glad I was broke when I first started. Went from 265's straight to 35's because I knew it was where I wanted to end up. Any of the money I wasted so far has been hand me down components anyway. The redoing of the tub sealing though was just dumb laziness on my part. My theory was that since everything is sealed tight on the outside, the inside shouldn't be a concern. I was wrong.

Yeah, I'm hoping that I'm learning from the experiences of others here. I've heard the same sentiment from more than a few of y'all about having to go back and do things over again with the benefit of hindsight.

I'm still glad that I went straight to 35s, like Mike said. It was the intent from the beginning. But my God... the tubbing is fucking miserable. This passenger side was so much worse because the blower motor is right in the way of everything, whereas the driver side was wide open by comparison.

Whatever. The truly shitty parts are the grinding, sanding, cleaning, prepping, and seam sealer. All of which are now DONE! And I'm really pretty proud of how the finished product looks (and hopefully performs) on the driver side, so that's giving me some motivation.

    But it deserves saying again:

    TUBBING. SUCKS. BALLS.

I loose motivation from time to time. What helps get back on track for me is looking at other trucks and thinking Dam I want to get my truck done. You catch that bug again. Just think about how much your going to enjoy your truck when your done.

    That's the truth, Ray.

Seeing @alee891, @Reh5108, and @Squeaky Penguin out doing exactly what I want to be doing with my truck really motivated me. Because I was definitely in a rut where I was using the craziness at work as an excuse.

I have a trip to Grand Junction this weekend for my grandmother's funeral, and I would really like to get a night in on the way out and the way back. So that's what's lit a fire under me this time.

Sorry for your loss. Seems like we've had similar starts to the first half of the year. Hopefully you can clear your head a bit when you head west.

Thanks, guys. Again, that means a lot.

And I was thinking the same thing, Austin. Not the best start to the year. But this will be her memorial service, so it'll be a celebration of her life, as well as a chance to see some family I haven't seen in awhile.

I no religious man, but I pray you have no leaks after this. Your neighborhood may very well go down in flames if so.

Tub job, lack of power, and I'm already breaking things on 33's is enough reason for me to stay where I'm at. There is a dark voice in my head that I have to ignore every time I see a Taco on 35's though.

Man, if it isn't my garage spontaneously combusting from the bed liner fumes, it'll be me going on a rampage if the shit leaks :annoyed:

I don't know what else I can do once the flex seal goes on tomorrow other than cross my fingers...
