    Hey Monte!

How critical (if at all) is a dorkel for Moab and the Kokopelli?

    Thanks!

I disagree. I wouldn't say they're necessary to go down.

You'll be hitting the front skid and sliders all the way down, but not too many places where breakover is a problem there.

It's of zero importance. Sometimes wish I never installed mine.

not at all needed for anything ever haha

the main ledge you will. That thing would tear off a stock tcase with new belly skid mostly due to the fact the top and bottom are so dug out.

Isn't that ledge bypassable? I thought I saw in one of your trip reports you went around it in igor.

    Kind of.

No fun to do that though. Was a new route. Only a few utvs had done it before us. Nothing bigger then a 1st Gen will fit either. We barely fit.

On top of that. The trail is constantly changing due to weather and of course use. Only getting more eroded and beaten up.

I would not take that trail lightly either way you run it. That 300 yard climb is a tough one...or decent.

Think anything with 35s will be okay for the most part. 33s and you'd Better have a belly skid.

    Take photos haha

I made it down everything but that one ledge in igor. So you'll be fine with your skids

Well, I didn't get out of work until later this evening, and I had to hit the grocery store, but I still managed to get my driving lights hooked up! I need to fine tune them, but I'm pretty happy with the bang for the buck that I'm getting from them!

    IMG_4876.jpg

I also got a chance to take a few pics of the winch and the trimming that was required to get it to clear the grille. I had to completely cut through the bottom lip of the satoshi, but all in all it came out looking pretty good, I think! Hopefully this weekend I can get the winch wired up and do the initial spool on the synthetic line.

Looks great dude! That's not bad at all. And the driving lights really fill out the look of the stinger well!

Looks awesome! Cutting the front grill was the right move, everything looks quite tidy now.

I still keep an eye out for your truck rolling around the hood. Woulda figured I would have seen it by now but nope.

    Thanks, Mike!

The lights fit that stinger perfectly. And they're bright as hell! Love 'em so far.
Thanks for stopping by, Tim! I'm always looking out for your rig. I'm on 102nd Cir. Where are you again? Up by 108th?
Thanks, Carter! I dig how it turned out. Once my welding cable shows up, and I knock out a quick bracket for the contactor and a fuse block, I'll get her wired up and get the line spoiled in under tension.

    Crunch time for RT!

Got my battery cage mounted that will allow me to mount my winch contactor off to the side. I’d love to get it mounted and wired tonight, but I’ll be working a double shift instead. Not like I needed this evening to keep prepping or anything...

Battery tray secured. I freakin’ love rivnuts!

Odyssey PC1400 G35. One of two, but I didn’t have time before RT to get my dual setup done.

    539CDF9E-9B31-4B20-8D74-4853B1D1637D.jpg

Bracket for my winch contactor and possibly whatever else I want to mount to it (fuse block, breakers, etc.) The paper is a 1:1 drawing from AutoCAD that I used for a cutting and bending template. I still have holes to drill, which is why it’s still on there.

    87F1439A-6297-4A4C-B0F6-341B4021013F.jpg

Battery tray lid. I like this tray, but there is a bit more slop than I’d like. I have a ton of rubber sheeting that I’ll use to shim things up. My winch contactor bracket will mount between the battery and the tray lid.

    CBFC0817-EE35-4CF1-B8D1-C05D47C66CD7.jpg

This is where the big ass contactor will live. I have a 1-1/4” electrical nipple that I’ll run thru the core support sheet metal for the 1/0 winch cables to pass through. They’ll come in right underneath the contactor.

Looking great dude! Remind me to take a picture of your stock fuse box when I see you. I took one to remember what is what before I mounted my panel to it and I think I deleted the photo clearing my phone for the trip. I really love that battery bracket lid. Might need to steal that idea. :anonymous:
