I'd just build your own spacers if you just want the bed higher. The Daystar bed spacers are too small and the bed will collapse around them if you carry weight back there.

What Ryan said exactly. The ones daystar sent are trash if your bed ever sees weight and they just punch themselves up into the bed. Not good.

I was gonna try to run 1x2 rectangular tubing the whole way across the bed to use as a lift spacer and additional bed support, but I didn’t realize the support channel on the bed dives down a bit. I’m still gonna use the tubing, but they’ll be shorter and just be one per location now. Should spread the load out much better.

Also, I know you don’t care about the body line mismatch, but the Daystar Kit was really nice when it came to the cab mounts. Instead of spacers, they use an entirely new poly mount with the lift integrated into it. The only other stuff you would need would be the steering rag joint spacer and a spacer for the fuel filler neck mount.

I know body lifts get the automatic hate from the TW Echo Chamber, but a 1” is completely fine. It just gets ridiculous when you’re stacking a 3” BL on top of your 6” DB lift. Ryan wheels the living shit outta his 1” BL with a heavy Wildernest on there with no problems aside from the lame bed spacers.

I was planning on doing the same thing. Wasn't sure if the crossmember sagged dow a bit or my mounts were just pushed in so much that that's what it looked like.

I will say that my body does move quite a bit independently of the bed. It's noticeable in the side mirrors.

It definitely dives down in the middle and there are a couple bolt heads in the way as well. It’s too bad because the 1x2 is super rigid and not that heavy.

I’m gonna try the whole clay bar and wax thing after these next couple camping trips.

Is your truck done?! We should go wheeling sometime if it is!

    I have mods
1x2 is probably what I will do since I've got a stick of that laying around. Might box it in too so it doesn't crush as well. Or I'll just take a BFH to the bed where the shock mounts are and dent it up until they clear or get close and then crank down on the bed bolts. o_O

    Define "done" :D

It's put together and I'm done with major stuff for the summer I think. Let's go wheeling!

If I had a dollar for every time I saw this pic in the thread thumbnail and thought it was a screenshot of Gigabit Off-road.. I'd have like 10 dollars.

I’m gonna box mine too, because why not, right?! Should be way better than the ones that Daystar supplies.
    Nice, Jake!

Once we get back from our big family vacation, I’m definitely down to run some trails.

That’s funny! I had no idea that game existed, but the resemblance is definitely there now that you mention it!

@Deathbysnusnu , do you have any good dispersed camping recommendations for around Red Feather? Nothing super technical because it’s just me and my kiddo.

    Thanks!

There's a bench in the area (hopefully) that needs to be checked on. You'd have to have Brett tell you how to get there, though.

Nope. That one's on the CO/WY border near Hog Park.

    Thanks for the link, Brett!

I just ended up taking the boy to Meeker Park campground and we had a great time. The lady and I are going back out Saturday morning and I think we’ll take a drive up Sand Creek Pass Road and see if there are any decent sites open. If there aren’t, we’ll find a place to picnic and head back home for the night. At least we get to enjoy the awesome weather and scenery.
