Dude. Even my mother in law knows the difference between carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Cmon man.

If you’re limited on space and can deal with re-filling them. Then they are a very decent option and you’ll have no adverse effects. As for manufacturers, it’s a tank they are all the same really, it’s the regulation you need to be concerned about, build your own IMO.
I have a hard enough time keeping my grills propane and my mig welding tanks full, fuck dealing with that on tires as well. Compressor is my tool of choice, as while it’s slower, it never runs out. But co2 tanks are a good option for off-roading and airing up on the trail. I personally would never use them for garage use.

Too bad she didn't mention to you that CO2 is a perfectly fine solution. Hell, if you'd even read the thread you'd have saved yourself some embarrassment before you decided to chime in.

Yes. It is. Guess what... Air works good too. It compresses just like the other gases. You guys buy into too much marketing hype.
Nitrogen is good... in race car tires.
CO2 is like the poop of gases.

Dude, you can't pressurize a tank with air and expect it to fill up tires. Stop posting misinformation. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Nitrogen is snake oil unless you’re a NASCAR driver...

I actually stopped going to my last mechanic because he kept trying to push it on me!

    No.

Go get a scuba tank and see how many tires it fills up. Hint: not very many.

You can use either for tires. One is for stability (nitrogen), other is for speed and portability (CO2)

Scuba tanks aren't filled with nitrogen unless you're using NITROX for deep diving. Nitrox and nitrogen and compressed air are all different things... We weren't talking about nitrogen. Some dude up the line said compressed air in a tank was as good as C02. And that's objectively false

    It's a secret
...after reading all the comments to this point... I am curious to know someone else's experience experimenting with inflating their tires using Helium...

Someone else mentioned nitrogen and that’s what got my attention; I see no point in putting anything but air in my tires...

Yes you can. Is google mad at you?
Again, hype. I have a 20 lb air tank air tank and it fills up four tires nicely.

lol. No, you don't. Unless you can provide some sort of proof, there's no way you're getting any useful service out of a regular 20lb tank filled with compressed air. You filling up go kart tires?

Edit: I think I just figured out what you meant. 20 GALLON air tank, like on a home compressor.

I use a special secret blend of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and a pinch of argon cause I like the way it sounds in the rain.

A full side scuba tank will do quite a lot of 35” tires. These C02 tanks can go up to something like ~3000psi where you normal air tank is 120psi. So a 5lb tank (smallest) at like 1000psi can fill up 4 35” tires from 0psi to 35psi, and probably ~10 “air-ups” from 15psi to 35psi. None of the numbers above are exact, just approximate. So a scuba tank is something like 20lbs would do 4x the numbers above.
